It's been a long time since we stayed at a B&B in Cape May. The Dormer House is in a good location and we walked to the beach, restaurants, and to meet up with tours. I really enjoyed our room because we had a sitting area, giving us space to watch a little TV at night and work out in the morning. The small refrigerator was also helpful.

Fantastic!

I had a wonderful experience at the Dormer House. It was clean and charming. Very close to downtown and the beach. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was warm and courteous, and my room was perfect! I rented the Dormer suite, which had a huge private bathroom and sunken tub. The a/c unit worked great even with the room being on the third floor and during a heatwave. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be back!

Brilliant place shame about the electrics.

Our stay was very nice and the team were very polite and helpful. Would have been 5 star apart from the power tripping out and impacting our air con when over 100F. Needs a load load check and training of staff to reset breakers fast. I am sure with some planning this one issue could be over come.

Love the room. Love the outstanding housekeeping. Breakfast needs work with more healthy options. Odd lack of any sense of ownership, our first experience with a "corporate" B&B. Personal touches are gone since place was sold. We stayed here twice before the sale.We will probably go back as we love the room and quiet location. Parking is easy too.

We loved our stay in the Antique Rose room. It was on the 3rd floor but stairs are no issue for us. Room was spacious and comfortable. Pillows could have been better, but I would do best traveling with my own because this is usually an issue. The breakfast and seating area were lovely, coffee was good, and staff was attentive. Great location and parking was so easy.

Cozy B&B in the heart of Victorian Cape May. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach or the shops. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and served either in the enclosed porch, or in our case, on the open porch. Will definitely stay here again.

A few lovely days in Cape May

I very much enjoyed my stay. My room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities you could anticipate. I highly recommend this B&B and would gladly return. However the next time I'd request a room on the lower floor to avoid climbing an additional flight of stairs.

The location is excellent with great access to beach and town. The street is quiet and the homes in the area are beautiful. The service was great. The hotel needs some TLC- there were even some small things that could be done to improve it. There was peeling paint on the ceiling and rust around radiators. Walls would have hooks and no paintings. The decor has not been updated in a long time. So overall a good experience that could have been made great with some attention to detail and basic maintenance.

All the housekeepers were excellent. They were friendly and were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Afternoon cookies were a delightful treat along with tea. Dormer house itself shows its age and may not suite the younger crowd, but evokes a gentile atmosphere of the Victorian era very pleasant for those who appreciate that age.
