This was one of the best quick travel places that we have ever stayed. The staff was so nice. The breakfast was great. If we return to Carbondale, we will definitely return.

I have used this hotel two times and my friends have a few times. If you are visiting SIU or Carbondale, this is where to stay. For its age, they are keeping this property in great shape. Safe and clean. The staff from the desk to the cleaning staff, polite and professional.

The property was a 9/10, the only tik against it is that it’s across from an Amtrak station. Trains were going by all night and honking their horns. I’m from NYC and used to noise but it was a bit much even for me. Thankfully they offer earplugs! Staff was great, room was very clean, breakfast was better than most. Would choose this place again.

Every employee we met was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience and a very convenient location to get some sleep before our drive home after our Amtrak trip.
