Great location, right in the heart of the main resurant and shops, yet quiet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. A big thanks to the lovely lady on reception when we arrived making the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The property while of a older vintage is clean, warm and the bed was super comfortable. Diisounted parking in public parking close by was available. . Property has no parking access out front as on the walking only part of the shops. There are also steps, no lift. Secure front aceess too. I would stay again. Thanks very much to the staff for making our stay memorable in Cardiff.

We choose to stay at this family run hotel because it was in a very central convienient location. There is😀NCP parking very near for which the hotel offered a discount code making it much more affordable . Although we did not have the breakfast it was available at a very respectable price. The rooms are a good size and clean with everything you need. The hotel is tired and could absolutely do with a refurbishment for sure and you would struggle if you had mobility problems but it suited us really . We had a good night's sleep and the staff were very friendly.

Great location, great stay, wonderful staff

Had a fantastic stay at the Sandringham. We travelled by train and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. It is also centrally located so again all local attractions and bars and restaurants within walking distance. It is also easy to get a bus to and from Cardiff Bay from a bus stop just down the road. Rooms are basic but have everything you need and more supplies of tea/coffee etc are easily available from reception. There is no lift, but this did not cause us a problem. On arrival a member of staff actually carried our case to the room for us. Great value for money. What really made our stay here so great though was Alison on reception and all of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful to me and my autistic son. They really went the extra mile. Would definitely recommend and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Great hotel, definitely recommend

Lovely hotel, perfect location in the city centre but still quiet at night. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very welcoming, would definitely come back again!

Nothing positive to say about this hotel . Room very poor, no doors on wardrobe, no chest of drawers, bed mattress poor. Shower really poor. We can only judge our room as didn't go into any other areas of the hotel. We vacated to another hotel at obviously our own expence to a superior hotel after 2 nights as couldn't stand staying another night. We will never return to this hotel .......ever.
