A magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean through a native Pine forest welcomes you to this 16-acre estate perched on a ridge in the Carmel Highlands and comes with luxurious extras that will make this an unforgettable vacation.
The 4,600-square-foot California contemporary home features 3 large bedroom suites with two additional bedrooms that are perfect for family groups, allowing plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and enjoy the amenities of this one-of-a-kind residence, which has ocean views from almost every room.
Total privacy can be found at this gated property, which has five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a wine room and open floor plan that allows the living room, kitchen, dining room and family room to flow together. Californian eclectic décor in earth tones combines rustic, classic, Eastern and contemporary influences for a truly unique ambiance. Guests can (and should) kick off their shoes upon entering the home, to relax and unwind. This is a shoes-free home.
Although the location feels secluded, it’s just a few minutes' walk to fine dining at the Carmel Highlands Hyatt, to a convenient corner market, or to hiking at spectacular Point Lobos. It’s also a 5-minute drive to Carmel Beach and charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, a half hour from Big Sur, and 10 minutes to shopping and dining in Pacific Grove, golfing in Pebble Beach®, or to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row.
Living Spaces
A living room near the entrance is perfect for relaxing in front of the stone gas fireplace or watching TV. Comfortable couches surround a glass-topped table, and in the corner, a tall round table is a place to play games.
A den off the living room offers a 42-inch HDTV and potential office space.
A separate family room has a gas fireplace and 50-inch HDTV.
Kitchen and Dining
The gourmet kitchen includes counter seating for two and a small table for four, as well as a gas stove, knotty pine cabinetry, granite countertops, and a walk-in pantry.
The formal dining table has six chairs, (larger groups can add chairs from the separate kitchen table).
Outside, a wraparound deck contains plenty of seating, chaise lounges and a gourmet gas grill, and is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, bbq's in the afternoon or a glass of wine in the evening
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
In this split bedroom floor plan, there are bedrooms in the wings on either end of the house.
Bedroom #1 has a king bed, gas fireplace, large walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and a separate shower.
Bedrooms #2 and #3 each have queen beds and they share a Jack and Jill style bathroom with a spacious vanity and a shower over tub.
Bedroom #4 has a king bed and an en suite bathroom with shower over tub.
Bedroom #5 is a full guest suite with a king bed, a sitting area, TV, kitchenette/breakfast bar, separate deck and entrance along with a private bath with shower-over-tub. This is a second floor studio Guest suite located above the garage and separate from the main part of the house. A very private retreat in an already private retreat.
The house also has a half bath.
This is a 'shoes free' home.
Garage space for two vehicles is available as well as ample parking on the driveway.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
Internet service is provided but please note that due to the remote location of this home, the internet cannot support multiple devices streaming at once and that extensive internet usage may not be well-supported.
