The unit was spacious with a separate bedroom with two single beds and a small bath in addition to the shower. The location was ideal with just a short walk to the shopping area. Some maintenance is required. A door on the cupboard under the washbasin almost fell off when opened. Breakfast was supposed to be included, according to the website, but we were told on arrival that no breakfast was available.

Having stayed at this accommodation in the past and had a very enjoyable experience. Booked for 3 nights again which was to include breakfast. On arrival was told they didn't do breakfast anymore, asked for a refund for the breakfast I had paid for, but was ignored. 1st day we asked for the room to be cleaned as on our return in the afternoon nothing had been done. on the 2nd Day we gave. The bed was comfortable but the rest of the room was in a very poor state of needing repairs. Would never here again

Got one of the 'luxury' suites in the heritage building and thought it was gorgeous. Well heated and comfortable bed. Convenient parking and great locations in castlemaine. Would love to return.

Overall very good but had a few minor issues.

Accommodation only, no restaurant. Parking available next to your room. The mattress on our bed was very comfortable. Fairly firm but wasn't to hard. Couple of very minor things that made the difference between giving the room 4 stars instead of 5. The liquid soap container next to the bathroom basin was empty. The small lower shelf on my side of the bed was loose and coming away from the wall. Aircon in main room was excellent, but it didn't really warm the bathroom much.

Breakfast included in my tariff was delivered 3 days out of 7resulting in extra cost for us. Complaints had to be made through children because the manager was never there. Our window leaked during heavy rain resulting in wet bedding . We didn’t even get clean towels to replace the ones on the window sill and floor to soak up the rain . Those wet towels were on the floor for 4 days without being checked or changed. A very poor experience and not even an apology for the inconvenience.

Such a wonderful motel

Such a wonderful motel to stay in for a quick trip to Castlemaine! It was so cozy, modern, clean and comfortable, and had all the necessities such as a kettle, hairdryer, soap, etc! Checking in and out was so easy, and the staff were so kind and welcoming to us. Breakfast was kindly handed to us the night before! Would really recommend this motel, it was perfectly in the centre of town

On arrival we were informed that our room had been “upgraded”. I suspect that they had overbooked and had to move us to a different room that was not prepared for guests. I would have preferred the room we booked because I specifically chose it for the bathroom which looked to be in a better state than some of the other rooms. They had left a ceiling fan on in the room (during the middle of winter) clearly to try to address the smell. It smelt like a dog had been in the room. The carpets had not been vacuumed and there were pieces of what I suspect looked like chewed dog toy. The surfaces had not been cleaned, there were crumbs on coffee table and the bathroom sink has a massive build up of black grime around the taps. We did not bother raising these issues because it was late in the evening and we knew there were no other rooms available. The electric blanket on the bed didn’t work and the room was very cold. The bedspread was not clean. Terrible. You should inspect the property and consider removing it from your site as it is very misleading.
