Last Week’s Stay

Few restaurant personnels were not fully knowledgeable about your menu. This person had to go back more than 4 times to get the specifics of your menu till someone took over her role. Front desk person was not fully aware of the difference of booking on lne & the time frame sensitivity of the booking as I wanted ti pay lesser amount. I booked on line in front of this Seda representative & I was asked not to pay for the additional next day reservation. After booking next day reservation did I found out that it automatically paid to the 3rd party. I couldn’t cancel, and I lost the P1,500.00 difference.

In Cebu, I usually stay at a color green hotel about a block away but I thought I would give Seda a try this time. What a mistake! The rooms, hallways, etc seem to be older than me, and in desperate need of updating. I would also suggest that towels that are stained red (ketchup? blood?) need to be retired, not relaundered. Walls are paper thin, even at the end of the hallway it's constant noise. The beeping of the neighbor's room key can be heard so clearly that you think it's your room they are trying to enter. Loud thumping music even on the 11th floor can be heard from could be anywhere, because the walls are so thin. The worst though is breakfast service. We were told to wait for a table even though there were multiple tables for 2 available and it's a buffet after all. We had club room access so decided to go there instead. That was from the frying pan to the fire. Dirty dishes stacked inches from the coffee dispenser and covering over clean spoons people are supposed to use, totally disgusting and unhygienic. No rules for decorum in the club lounge like at every other hotel, (two examples, guests permitted to wear thin hotel slippers with their dirty feet on full display at breakfast, children permitted to watch whatever on their phones with volume on full blast subjecting everyone else to their annoying racket) In the cereal from the dispenser we also received hunks of plastic and cardboard, how does that even happen? I would never stay here even for free.

Not a new hotel but our room is quite adequate, housekeeping responsive (thank you for extra water bottles), and reception allowed late checkout to 1 pm (much appreciated). Ask for high floors if you are a light sleeper. Conveniently located adjacent to Ayala Centre Cebu via the underground car park. Oh, and enjoyed the saxophonist playing at the lobby on a Monday night.
