We loved the pool, the yard and play area in the back. We loved the movie theater room and the pool table, arcades. We had a few problems but the property manager was available and was accommodating. There is a portable high chair and a pack-n-play and a crib. There are two laundry rooms. Our family has a lot of fun. There were also some indoor games and puzzles and swimming pool toys.
This was our second visit to this amazing property. Our family of three generations found this lovely home as the perfect destination for our annual family reunion. Favorite amenities include the massive home theater, which was the site of many family movie sessions, the outdoor private pool, and the Fiddlerâs Canyon trail which runs directly behind the property. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. But the owner, Tiffany, takes the cake for best host weâve ever had. Her level of kindness, communication and responsiveness is unparalleled. Most appreciated was her extension of our last-day checkout time when a family member had an appendicitis episode resulting in an emergency appendectomy in Cedar City. (Full recovery has occurred, thankfully). Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our stay! It was perfectly located with plenty of space for our group of 24 people. Close to trails and fun outdoor activities. Plenty of beds for us, but the bunk beds are a little small for adult sized children. Our group loved the theatre room and the pool. Very spacious kitchen with everything we needed.
Our family really enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. The host was great in communicating and meeting our needs before the trip as we prepared for our visit. We, especially the children, enjoyed the fun amenities and special features of the home. We definitely would love to return.
Our family loved staying at this beautiful home. There was a lot of room. Everything was nice and clean. 2 large side-by-side fridge/freezers in the kitchen and 1 downstairs in the game area. There is an insta-pot, 2 hand mixers, but not a large stand mixer, 2 large crock pots, some serving bowls but not any real large ones. Bring a ladel if you need one. There are games & puzzles. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the bathrooms. Large washer and dryer on main floor and upstairs. The pool was used every day. The deck is large and has patio furniture. The playhouse is really nice and carpeted. The playground was used every day. The theater room is large and amazing. Plenty of room to park on the driveway. There is also a nice paved hiking trail behind the house. We would love to stay there again.
We really liked the pool and hot tub. The kids loved the downstairs.A few things to be aware of.The hood over the stove was icky. When I boiled water, stuff would drip down off of it.The inside top of the microwave was really dirty. The barbecue needs to be deep cleaned, it was hard to use because the build up of stuff under the grill plate would just flame up and make it hard to not burn the food. The hot tub was pretty dirty and kept saying that the water needed to be changed. The toilet runs all the time in the upstairs bedroom down the hall to the right. Wasting a lot of water.Top of the front door stairs bedroom, the fan makes a loud noise. It would have been nice to have some serving spoons and large bowls there.Myself and the other women thought that whoever cleans maybe just vacuums and takes care of the beds but doesnât do any thing else.I know it seems like Iâm complaining a lot but, we really did have a good time, I just wanted to tell you a few things you might not have been aware of.
PROS:
âą Big home
âą Number of bedrooms
âą Number of bathrooms
âą Big kitchen with two fridges and huge pantry
âą Location
CONS:
âą Hot tub was unusable for two days due to vandalism of prior guests. Having guests maintain the hot tub is not feasible, we are not service technicians.
âą One of the bedrooms in the basement had a broken window and got too cold at night.
âą The indoor grill didnât work at allâŠthe outdoor grill was barely functional and could not be turn up high enough to make it useable.
âą Sprinklers ran nightly making the back yard unusable for outdoor activities. We told handiman Joe when he was fixing the kitchen cabinet door, but he never did turn them off.
âą The recreation equipment was not useable. The ping pong paddles are ready for the trash as they are now just a piece of plywood. I bought two new paddles and some ballsâŠwhich I left for others to use. The basketball machine was inoperable.
âą We were missing some of the basic sundries: no shower gel in some of the bathrooms. No bathmats in the master bathroom. No paper towels. One ply toilet paper.
âą Jetted tub in master was not functional â Joe said he was aware that this has been a LONG OUTSTANDING issue.
âą ONE PLY toilet paper!?! Are you kidding?!?! We rent a mansion and you stock it with one-ply toilet paper.
âą Rooms were under furnished in several of the rooms.
âą No local TV service, roku only.
âą Some rooms with no closets
âą Home theater is not soundproofed in the least
âą Lack of owner contact
Great stay with lots of space and activities, missing cleaning details
It was an awesome place overall. It had plenty of space for our family of 27. We didnât feel squished or on top of each other in anyway. There was plenty of space and activities for the kids to run around and play, both outside and inside. The family loved the pool and hot tub. I was worried from reviews that it wouldnât be clean, but it was clean with just some dirt in it from the wind. Neither the pool or hot tub were gross in the sense of algae or other things that can make the pool or hot tub not worth getting in. We called Emmet, the property manager, and he answered and helped us know when the trashed needed to go to the street (Tuesday morning by the way).
We rented this property for our family reunion in July 2024. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived and was perfect for our family of all ages. Plenty of space and beds for sleeping and the room with the crib was great for the couple with the baby. Was also great to have plenty of bathrooms. Everyone loved the pool!! We brought pop up shade covers and fold up tables for the large deck which was perfect for eating, hanging out, and watching those in the pool. The grassy areas by the pool were perfect for outdoor games and a large family picture.
The two extra refrigerators were very helpful for so many people. We loved the theatre room and it was perfect for our family talent show! The only suggestion we have for the owners is to stock more lightbulbs for the kitchen (we replaced a few that were burned out, but needed a couple more) and the bbq grill on the deck needs replaced or repaired. We were able to use part of the grill, but a few of the burners do not work. Other than those 2 small suggestions, it was GREAT and we would definitely reserve this house again!!
Ground not maintain very well. Widows were dirty could do with better cleaning, but livable but
The "gorgeous mansion" was only sink deep. Seemed cheep inside. Not well maintained.
Not for the elderly as all bedrooms were either downstairs or up long stair cases. The sunken living room was not a benefit with that regards
We had 1 baby 1 7 yr old 2 teenagers 7 octogenarins with the rest betweem 23-70. Pool cover didn't want to work Steps to the pool seemed scary
Was a wonderful place to stay with family and friends with a large yard and private pool with large common areas. The host was not responsive for most of the trip when questions or concerns arouse. The rooms and bathrooms where not well described on the listing so the room and bathroom situation was difficult once we found out that most of the bathrooms aren't connected to the rooms. The large theater room was a wonderful time and the pool and hot tub were both wonderful and did not feel or smell of heavy chlorine. The Jacuzzi in the Master bedroom did not work and many of the steps in the back yard were falling apart and where dangerous for some to climb.
House was in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Very spacious and convenient to shopping and parks. Pool was a bit dirty and we couldâve used some more lounge chairs for around the pool. Especially since you could have over 20 people sleeping there. Steps down to the pool were quite dangerous especially after a rain. I would suggest a handrail or even steps. Finding out we had to bring in ALL outside activities by 10pm seems unrealistic as the rest of the neighborhood was filled with dogs barking and kids swimming well into midnight. On the positive side, we had some issues when checking in(AC and garbage disposal) and someone was over asap to fix it. Overall, lovely and spacious home but could use some routine TLC. I would stay here again for a huge family gathering and access to the national parks
My wife and I had a reunion with our four children and their spouses and children, along with my mother -- a total of 17 people (11 adults and six children, ages 1-12). Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. Plenty of space throughout the house for everyone to just relax and visit. The kitchen was large enough so that multiple people could be involved with meal prep and cooking without getting in each other's way. The game room was a hit, with a pool table and a ping pong table and some arcade games, although they were a bit rundown Overall, we had a good time. Here are the negatives: Oven and stove top were not clean. Outdoor grill was very filthy -- we had intended to grill outdoors, but did not. Outdoor jacuzzi was not clean, and so we did not use it. Lots of stairs throughout the house, so if you have toddlers, you need to keep an eye on them. The carpets had not been cleaned for some time. Although we had been informed that the swimming pool was heated, we learned after arriving that it was only "lightly heated" to the mid- to low-80's, and so the pool water was a little too cool for most of us to enjoy. Also, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen area. Overall, the location served its purpose, which was to provide a place for all of us to gather comfortably. I was hoping that this would be a place to which we could return every couple of years, but given our experience, we will be looking for a different location for our next family get together.
This house exceeded our expectations. Lots of fun for everyone in our group (teens, young kids, and adults). Property managers were great and quick to respond if we needed anything.
The home is nice and big. It suited our needs and worked well. Sadly, The pool had a lot of dirt and rocks on the bottom and needed cleaning, which led to fewer of us being willing to enjoy it. The home could use a good deep clean, but overall it is nice.
Perfect size for our large group. Just wish there were Clorox wipes to help clean a bit more. Make sure to take Pam for the Pans and baggies if you think you will need them. The pool, hot tub, pool table and games downstairs were perfect!!! Fun weekend.
Awesome house for our family reunion of almost 30 people. Lots of space to spread out. We loved the game tables, hot tub and especially the theater room! It was windy while we were there so we didnât spend much time in the backyard but itâs great too! We hope to go back later in the year sometime when the pool is open! Great location in nice neighborhood and very clean!
This home was the perfect place for us to gather for a family reunion for our large family (26 people). We are grateful to have found such a large house where we could all stay together and could be together in the various spaces in the home, including the awesome theater room with stadium seating. Cedar City was also a wonderful home base for us to travel to nearby national parks and monuments. Thank you!
We had an amazing time at this gorgeous home! We had 25 family members and we all fit perfectly! The highlight was the private pool and hot tub. The kids lived out there the whole time! The place was so big that you were never on top of each other. In fact we had a hard time finding everyone in the house! The teenagers lived in the theater room and basement game room the whole time! There were three dining room tables upstairs for games and cards along with another table downstairs. Plenty of games were played on all the tables. We would definitely stay here again! Everyone loved it. Just a not to the owner, the top rack of the dishwasher doesnât clean. It might be broken. And you may need to spray for spiders in the basement. But everything else was perfect!!
We had a great time and the house was better in many ways than we thought it would be. It also needs some attention, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying it. The kitchen has two refrigerators but only one worked. There is another that we didn't know about in the basement area, which helped but it's a long way from the kitchen. We had all the food for a large group crammed into the one working fridge. It worked but would have been nice to have both. In the back yard there are a lot of weeds and small trees growing up through some flagstone steps, so that the stones are broken up and loose, making it a little dangerous to walk on. The pool was dirty & low so we had to clean it and fill it. The pool guy came the second day but just brushed it, which by then it didn't need. Besides these small inconveniences, the house was really great and fit our group perfectly. The theater room was great for watching "Maverick"! Thank you!!
We coudn't have asked for more--spacious bedrooms, lovely and well-stocked bathrooms, a lovely pool, a fun game room and theater. Everything to keep our various age groups entertained. The kitchen is easy to work in, and the air conditioning is great! The site is well-groomed and attractive. Plus, Cedar City is a wonderful place to be!
