This was the perfect place for our family weekend getaway!! We stayed with our children and grandkids, and there was something for everyone. The game room was a big favorite with the kids and the nearby restaurants and kid friendly spots made everything so convenient. Being close to the water and watching the sunset each evening was just the cherry on top !! We would absolutely book this again!!

This place is nice! Even if the weather isn’t great, you still get to enjoy the view from the kitchen/living/dining room area. The kitchen is fully stocked and had everything we needed to host a family meal. The beds are comfortable. All the shared rooms have dimmers for the lights which was a nice touch. It’s far enough from the main road that we felt comfortable with our dogs. My son loved the swing and game room. And my husband enjoyed the hot tub. The place was clean and modernized. We were visiting family and everyone really enjoyed the air hockey table and hanging out in the game room in general. We will definitely be staying here again!

This place was exactly what we needed for the week. Spacious, clean, and with a great view. We took our boat and docked it right there at the house which was really nice. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The game room kept us entertained on a rainy day we had. There's were also yard games etc. Just a great place! Beautiful view of downtown Swansboro from deck and backyard. Convenient to everything. We are big golfers, and after a day on the course and/or the driving range, the hot tub was fabulous. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had such as helping us navigate the river for the first time. Definitely recommend this place!!

The house was very cleaned and had everything we needed. It had a great location and the dock and kayaks were probably our favorite part. We could see dolphins in the Morning. The house was equipped with everything you could need while on vacation. The game room was absolutely perfection for the couple of rainy days we had.

Great location

We had the best time visiting North Carolina outer banks.. this home is the perfect location to explore all that North Carolina coast line has to offer.. we were able take a fishing excursion, marsh cruise, checked out the battleship in Wilmington.. and so much more! This home was very comfortable for our family of 6.. my husband and my boys loved fishing right off the boat dock.. they caught a bunch of red drum.. my husband took the kayak out and was able to catch some flounder.. the home has everything to offer and more.. Curtis was so very helpful in the whole process.. this was one of our favorite VRBOs.. and that’s saying a lot since we’ve been to a lot all over the USA..

Perfect Getaway At Salty River Oaks

Much needed extended weekend family getaway. Myself, my husband, 2 adult children (with their significant others) and our dog.Our first time staying here, Salty Oaks is the perfect pet friendly property for your family. Located on the sound side with breathtaking water views and sunsets.The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and had all the amenities that you could possibly need...and then some. As an OCD'er, there were precise and the most perfect instructions in a neat binder, as well as throughout the house, on how to use the updated conveniences. We brought our boat and jet ski with us as this property has a large driveway to accomodate both. Conveniently located just across the highway is Cedar Point public boating access. For years we've parked on a sandbar just at the inlet/outlet. It really makes for the perfect 'beach day'. Or you can cruise the ICW for hours.Curtis is 'The Host With The Most'! Communication is on point, quick responses and he just makes you feel welcome. We can not wait to book this property again and will highly recommend it to all of our friends.

Great house!

This was a great house for my family of 6! Very clean, lots of towels, and I didn’t see one bug the whole week (you never know when you’re staying on the water in the Carolinas!). Hot tub and the backyard in general were awesome, perfect place for campfires. Curtis was super attentive and available when the screen door needed fixing. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever visit the area again.

Our stay near the water was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The dock outlooking the water and a majestic tree in the back yard is another great experience for the senses. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, filled with a great Sonos experience in all main rooms/outside, and thoughtfully equipped for everyday. Whether it was sipping coffee while watching the sunrise or relaxing during the evening on the porch, perfect. We can’t wait to return for another stay!

Great place for a family stay with a fantastic atmosphere!

We had a great time at this property. We had our kids and grandkids with us and there was so much space! The property has anything you would ever need and Curtis has thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. We were especially impressed with all the toys they had for the kids. It kept the little ones busy! This property has everything you need and more. All you need to do is pack your suitcase and show up! We loved it there and would stay there again.

Perfect for every activity

We really liked kayaking from the backyard dock. The house is beautiful, well-furnished, and has every amenity. We appreciated how modern it is, with great wifi and with USB ports all over. The game room is a real vacation-saver on a rainy day. And it's an easy drive to area attractions like the NC Aquarium, Fort Macon, Beaufort and Morehead City. We'll be back!

Great communication, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, cleaner than some hospital rooms i've been in, gorgeous view, well-equipped kitchen, good fishing, I could go on and on. If you're considering it, rent it. You won't be sorry!

Wonderful property on the waterway. The house is very nicely decorated and very accommodating. Has a lot of up to date technology. Perfect for all members of the family. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect get-away with so much to offer (inside and around the area!)

We had a fantastic vacation here. The house was amazing and well stocked with tons of amenities, by far one of the best houses we've rented! So many things to do around the area as well. The owners went over the top to make sure this stay was the best! Would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic Home For All Ages

This house was fabulous with great hosts! It was very clean, nicely decorated, comfy beds, and so many extra amenities. We had 2 kids and 5 adults, ranging in age from 4 to 76 and there was plenty of room to spread out and so much at the house to entertain us all. Our group especially enjoyed the game room, hot tub, tree swing, fishing (caught several good size redfish, black drum, and flounder), and just relaxing out on the porch enjoying the views. The location was great with Swansboro and Emerald Isle being so close, plus we made a day trip up to Beaufort and Cape Lookout to see the lighthouse. We will definitely be back!

Great Family Spot

We enjoyed our stay and our host was great. This was a perfect spot for our family vacation. We enjoyed fishing from the pier, playing in the game room and just relaxing and enjoying the house, yard and sunsets in the evening. Would recommend to others.

Pristine views and wonderful accommodations.

We had family and friends over for several gatherings to celebrate my wife’s retirement from teaching in local area. Absolutely wonderful spaces for relaxation and socializing. Would highly recommend for small gatherings, trips to beaches, swansboro foodies and all things water and sun.
