Getaway for peace and relaxation near sea-side
Modern guesthouse in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, overlooking a stunning valley, only 10 minutes by car to the nearest beach, not far from the historic town of Cefalu. The location is near the main house on a 5.5 hectare estate, overlooked by a mountain. Gets lots of sun even in the winter as its south facing.
This striking independent guesthouse (studio) is set in a mountainside submerged in an unspoiled Sicilian nature, with views to a valley and the small village of Lascari (1 km plus 500 m of country road).
The newly built guesthouse of about 30 m2 (2015) has a modern feel with an Italian touch. It consists of: a king size bed, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, two fans, a clothes rack for drying clothes, bathroom with shower, small kitchen with two hobs, toaster, small oven and fridge/freezer, dining table with chairs, book shelf with mainly books in English and a pellet stove for wintertime. The door/window has a mosquito netting. For the small terrace there are garden table, chairs, deck chairs and sun umbrella.
TV with satellite connection (intern. channels) and wifi internet is provided.
We try to be a self-sustainable eco-site and heat our water mainly with a solar panel in the summer or by wood stove in the winter, therefore, we encourage our guests to take showers in the later part of the day (does not apply in the high summer where the water is already warm in the mornings). If our guests prefer otherwise we can heat the water electrically in the morning.
The view on the valley from the small terrace in the front of the guesthouse is astonishing. Ideal for lovers of quiet and unspoiled nature, who want to make trips to historic Sicilian villages and the beach.
Beautiful walks can be taken on this breathtaking terrain with typical Sicilian flora, fruit trees, nuts- and ancient olive trees. A small river (runs from November till July) bordering the land and can be visited. A shepard with his herd is regularly passing by and fresh Sicilian Ricotta goats cheese can be ordered when in season.
The friendly dog Skipper and his fellow cat-brothers are guarding the estate.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests is very important to us and we take the utmost care to clean and sanitize the guesthouse very well in between stays.

Abseits der Massen
Der Bungalow ist exakt wie beschrieben. Es ist sehr sauber und alles da, was man braucht. Das Internet funktioniert am Tag gut, nachts gar nicht. Man kann direkt auf dem Grundstück parken und wird von 1 lieben Hund und 4 süßen Katzen begrüßt. Die Besitzer, welche nebenan wohnen, bemühen sich sehr, dass es einem gut geht, lassen einen aber in Ruhe. Vielen Dank!

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen
Das ist ein wunderschöner Platz, um Ferien zu machen. Sowohl außen, als auch innen ist alles mit ganz viel Liebe gestaltet und man wird in jeder Hinsicht herzlich Willkommen geheißen: Kheli und ihr Mann haben uns von einem gut zu findenden Treffpunkt abgeholt.In der Ferienwohnung war sogar eine "Erstausstattung" mit Lebensmitteln vorbereitet, inclusive selbst gemachter Marmelade und auf dem Tisch ein frischer Blumenstrauß.
Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Gute WLan-Verbindung. Besonders gut fanden wir auch den Mückenschutz an der Terrassentür!
Kheli und ihr Mann sind super nett und hilfsbereit.
Übrigens sind die letzten 50m Anfahrt zum Haus inzwischen befestigt.(Aber der Rest hat es auch noch in sich).

Wunderschönes Bungalow abseits von Lärm und Trubel
Dieses kleine aber feine Ferienhäuschen liegt - etwas außerhalb des Örtchens Lascari - am Berghang, inmitten von Kakteen, Oliven- und Zitronenbäumen. Die Lage ist wirklich wunderschön und perfekt, wenn man beispielsweise den Nationalpark der Madonien erkunden und trotzdem nicht allzu weit vom nächsten Strand entfernt sein möchte (gute 10 Minuten mit dem Auto). Hinter dem Haus ragt ein Berggipfel auf, von dem man abends den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Nachts ist es so ruhig und dunkel, wie man es aus Deutschland oftmals nicht mehr gewohnt ist. Bei einem Glas Rotwein lassen sich dann vom Dach des Hauses wunderbar die Sterne beobachten.
Die - unglaublich freundlichen - Besitzer wohnen direkt nebenan und lesen einem wirklich jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab! Das Dörfchen Lascari - mit hervorragender Trattoria (direkt neben der Kirche) - ist vom Haus aus zu sehen und fußläufig in etwa 20 Minuten erreichbar. Kommt man dann spätabends gut gesättigt nach Hause, begrüßt einen der Wachhund Skipper so freudig, als ob er dich schon längst tot geglaubt hätte.
Die Anfahrt erfolgt über einen Schotterweg, die letzten 50 m zum Haus selbst muss eine kleine Steigung überwunden werden, (Miet)Autos sollten also ein gewisses Maß an Motorleistung mitbringen. Andernfalls (wie im Falle unseres 60 PS-Wägelchens...) holen einen die Besitzer aber auch jederzeit gerne unten ab, wenn man z.B. Einkaufstüten dabei hat.
Alles in allem haben wir bei Kheli (die im übrigen auch noch sehr gut deutsch spricht) eine wunderbare Zeit verbracht, auch wenn es leider nur drei Nächte im Rahmen einer Rundreise waren. Wir werden aber wiederkommen!
