Everything you need for a fun stay less than 15miles from State College! We stayed for graduation weekend and loved the rustic decor of the Cabin, the scenic drive through the state park and the cozy quiet of the surrounding forrest. AT&T service was strong, definitely read the drive in and out recommendations of an SUV or a pick up truck. The owner was hospitable with providing snacks, waters and was very responsive and pleasant. We would stay at this property again.
Stayed. here for the Penn State playoff game. Great place, clean, well stocked, short drive to stadium. Host communicated well. Loved it. would certaunly stay again!!
We spent the weekend in this beautiful cabin while in town for a Penn State football game. The cabin itself is beautiful. It was clean and exactly as advertised. Tom, the host, was very clear in the check-in instructions and was easy to contact. The cabin had all the necessities. All we had to bring were our personal belongings. Tom even left a gift basket with some snacks and coffees which was very much appreciated, especially by the children. The cabin is about a 10-15 minute drive to Beaver Stadium and is located in a nearby state forest. The cabin is a bit off the beaten path, and a truck or SUV is recommended. This was all explained in the description, so we knew when booking the cabin. The kids enjoyed the surroundings and even took advantage of some of the hiking paths. We will definitely look to book this cabin again for our next PSU trip. Thanks Tom!! We AREâŠ
Absolutely everything from communication days prior with the host, to the check in process, to every detail of the home and accommodations for the stay - could not have been better! Gorgeous interior, everything you could possibly need for a cozy retreat. Will definitely be back!
This cabin is wonderful!! My husband and I were very pleased with the inside and out, super cozy cabin, very clean, great place to get away from all the noise! A great place to sit by the fire and just enjoy nature!
In some of the reviews I read it was hard to get to, the host was very specific with sending us directions to get to the cabin⊠would stay again!
"Cabin in the woods" accurately describes your first impressions as you roll into the heavy forest clearing. Great presentation, lovely rustic interior as shown in the pictures. Well equipped kitchen for basic meal preparation. Other than the outcome of the Michigan game it was a perfect weekend!
Queen bed mattress is a bit past it's prime but that's the only thing I can think of to improve the quality of the rental.
We would stay here again for sure!
Enjoyed our PSU weekend at this beautiful cabin. The âwelcome basketâ was a thoughtful touch. Great communication with the owners. We used both Waze and Google maps apps and were directed to turn AFTER the actual road. Look for the Hemlock Way sign that is parallel with the road. You are truly off the grid here, so plan on bringing DVDs or a laptop and HDMI cable if you want to use the TV. The only bummer about the location is that we had zero Verizon cell phone service. All of our phones were in SOS mode. We didnât have service/texting capability until driving almost 10 minutes back toward town. That made it pretty difficult to communicate with our student and family downtown.
Great spot there in Bald Eagle!! Great cabin and super great spot for hiking, biking and exploring!! Love the finishes and cozy cabin, with all Penn Staters also feeling right at home :-). Thanks Tom and Andrea for the hospitality and comfortable cabin!!
Everything about this cabin rental is perfect. The hosts went above and beyond with every detail. The cabin is immaculate; the outdoor area is clean and peaceful; and the firepit is nice and wood is provided.
Furthermore, Tom was easy to contact, quick to reply, and was accomodating and helpful when an issue arised.
Follow the owner's instructions regarding appropriate vechicles to get down the road to the cabin. The trip to the stadium is easy. I'd love to go back and visit the local places near to the cabin.
