Amazing, responsive host. Very neat little farm. Amazing experience. Slept awesome. I question how effective the a/c would be in the dead of Southern AL summer.
We had an amazing time! Nephew loved staying in the bus, he thought it was really cool and different experience. He dubbed it a âbouseâ (bus house ). Really awesome spot the owners have out there. Peaceful, safe, great place to chill for the weekend. Got to pet the donkeys and goats. Picked a couple pieces of cotton to take home and got a couple fresh eggs to boot! The buss itself was great. Iâm pretty tall, so I definitely had to slouch to navigate but overall it was a great experience. Bathroom is definitely an interesting bit . Nothing we couldnât manage but it is absolutely a tight fit - added to the experience. Everything else was great. Scott, the homeowner, was a pleasure to speak with and get to know. He made the stay extremely comfortable for us. First night was a bit chilly for the kiddo, so Scott gave him an extra blanket. Nice guy. I will definitely be back and likely bring my nephew with me again so we can explore the area more. If youâre on the fence about staying here, give it a go. I think youâll definitely enjoy the experience if youâre into glamping.
Nice and quiet and way off the road, youâre on a farm with animals, yet it wasnât noisy at all, they would greet me every morning at the fence to say hi, lol.The rooftop A/C drowns out any noises around the area, we slept great throughout the nights there. Owners were super responsive and helpful, we were there to look into moving into the area and take in nature, everything was great.
Cute little bus. We had a great time and my 6 year old loved visiting the animals. Was a little tricky with the little bathroom but just make it more of an adventure. Also enjoyed a waterpark and drive in theater near by.
A unique experience on the bus and beautifully decorated. A nice outdoor seating area overlooking the cotton fields with views of gorgeous sunsets. The hosts were most accommodating to let us love on their farm animals and answered all one million questions we had.
The communication and whole stay was wonderful. The bathroom is quite tight and was a bit shocking but what else can you expect when staying in a bus. The property owners were so sweet. Only down sides was the water was always super hot from the faucet and the top bunk didnât actually have room for a body. But that didnât stop us from having a good time!
This is definitely a fun and safe place to stay. Its affordable and laid back. Hosts are sooo nice and gave extra goodies and checked on us throughout the stay. I highly recommend. This place is a gem and a wonderful experience
What a great trip..love the bus..brought my 8 yr old son.. from the petting zoo to the ride on the atv he will never forget this trip..sweet little waterpark very close as well..đ
Reminded us of our younger years. The only downside as others have said is the agility required to use the bathroom and to take a shower. (We're a lot older now.) The property was close to our event and to restaurants. Everything was clean and had all the amenities. It rained while we were there, and we enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof.
Very relaxing and beautiful sunset by the fire. Enjoyed seeing the property and animals. The hosts are fabulous!!! Decorated very cute and the fresh eggs for breakfast was nice. The bathroom was a bit of a challenge though. Enjoyed our stay
The bus was cozy and secure and very well renovated. It was stocked with everything you would need but never felt crowded. It was pitch dark and quiet at night and The stars were beautiful. The hosts were very nice and checked in on you but let you be otherwise. The area was miles and miles of cotton farms, close to food and shopping and antique stores and state and national parks.
Time spent here was fantastic. Scott went above and beyond to make our stay not only enjoyable but very informative. If ever in that area again I do hope the bus is still available for a nice, peaceful hearfelt mini vacation!!
We celebrated our Anniversary! It was an amazing experience! Everything u need for a wonderful experience is there, all u need is ur cloths and food. The farm is beautiful, the animals were great. The owners made sure we had all we needed on several occasions. It was so relaxing, peaceful, romantic, quiet, amazing and all of the above! Itâs definitely an experience we will never forget EVER!!!
The Skoolie was great. Lots of character and perfect for my son and me. The owners of the farm were very communicative and welcoming. There are a couple great places to eat nearby as well that Scott told us about. Be mindful that the bathroom is very small, so as long as you don't mind navigating that this is the perfect place.
I first took my granddaughter (11 at the time) who was staying with me for a few weeks in the summer two years ago. She wanted to bring her younger brother who is now 10 to go camping again this year. We all had a great time. Jerry could have stayed with the animals all day!! Scott was very patient with showing and educating us about the animals. You could tell he loves doing it! Allie and I enjoyed just hanging out in the bus watching movies and taking a nap from a busy week! I did take Jerry fishing Saturday morning just down the street by "Jake's on the Lake." Definitely a jackpot for him to fish from the pier! Had a fresh green egg for breakfast....yes a green one!!! Looking forward to another visit in the future!
We were there to visit friends and our granddaughter came with us. We enjoyed the scavenger hunt and getting to see all the animals. The hosts were very friendly and attentive to make sure we didn't need anything. This place was very quiet and peaceful with lots to do in the area. I would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in something different than motels.
We enjoyed a stay on a funky, renovated school bus, a much nicer one than I road tripped on 49 years ago when moving from Florida to Missouri.
Sleeping accommodations were very comfortable. We used the stove, fridge, and kitchenwares which were very useful for our multi-night stay. We made a few campfires, grilled out, visited the animals, and cooked morning-fresh eggs from the farm.
The location is very convenient to parks and lakes.
The hosts were very pleasant and helpful in our making plans to eat out or choosing which outdoor adventure to take.
