Clean room, kind staff, easy access, not very up to date, but good enough, we would stay again. It was raining so couldn't see property but jext time we will check out the river and get a cabin!
The electrical needs an upgrade, it has been neglected which caused GFI's to trip in the two rooms we reserved. No heat from the space heaters and inoperable refrigerators. Their solution was to unplug and remove a refrigerator, with complete rudeness to our friend who is legally blind. She remarked well you don't need lights to sleep, and I had told her that my friend needs even more lights to see the room, she doesn't know the layout in the middle of the night.
The owners were so short with us, because they had someplace to be, that the last offer they gave us was "we can refund you and you can all stay someplace else". Sure at 8:30pm, not professional to say the least.
Reserved a king room and switched to a cabin with queen bed and credit card charged with fees 2 days prior to arrival despite being told we could pay cash. Friendly check in so we didnât complain because we had limited options. Cabin was clean but very outdated and bed not comfortable and tiny bathroom. Needs updating for the price charged but I suppose thatâs the market rate in that area to be near the train. Would not stay again for those reasons but owners were nice.
We loved our stay in this room, it was budget, yes, BUT it had every single thing we needed. Reception very kind and gave good advice for eating out. Beware - things close early and we did end up using the supermarket on the main road and returning to heat something in the microwave. This was not a problem for us but watch out! loved the look of the cabins and next time will choose one of these. Lovely quiet rural area. Thank you to staff and highly recommend.
The place was very quaint and clean. There was attention to detail with our reservation. We stayed two nights, and they even made our beds on the second day. Something you see any more.
Apparently this property was overbooked because when we got there we had no room but had prepaid for it ahead of time. The manager was polite enough but we ended up going to a different hotel for our overnight stay. Very disappointing. And then trying to get our money back became quite a chore. We can't really rate this because we did not stay there and the management tried convincing me it was our fault.
