We enjoyed our stay in this home on a private street and very quiet neighborhood. There is a very comfortable king size bed, the main bathroom has a rain shower. Down the stairs from the patio there is a babbling brook right beside the home with a fire pit and a table with lights.
This property with a deck overlooking a stream was peaceful and relaxing, just what we were looking for. The home was well-equipped. The owner was prompt in answering questions. We had hoped to put two adults in the bunk room - but as it was very small, we changed those plans. It is better suited to small children.
The Creekside Cabin worked pretty well for 2 retired couples. King bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Loved that they used a closet space for a place to put your suitcases and belongings. Queen bedroom has a bit of a walk in the night to the other small bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We did not use the bunkroom that is off the kitchen, it's small but would be fine especially for kids. Livingroom, kitchen, sunroom are all very nice areas. Outdoor area reminded me of a tropical forest with the babbling brook and lush vegetation. Wish we could have seen all the rhododendron trees blooming! We didn't sit outside because it was wet but prepare to sweep off, clean up furniture as you would at home between uses. There are a few other houses in the neighborhood, but we saw little activity in May, very quiet and peaceful. Local roads are paved. We picked this cabin as it was in between and about a half hour each way to Fallingwater and Flight 93 Memorial. We had lunch in Ohiopyle and took a ride through Laurel Hill State Park.
In a wonderful area close to skiing and tubing. Everything neat and clean with notes everywhere to explain usage of
items in the house. Manager very helpful when called.. Would stay here again, our children and grandchildren loved it and plan to come again. We enjoyed the creek and fire pit. Even roasted marshmallows in December.
This was the perfect cabin getaway! It was clean, comfortable, and provided all the amenities we needed. Their outdoor set up is wonderful. Our kids loved the creek and activities close by, especially the state park beach area. Thanks for hosting!
This was a fantastic place to stay while visiting the Laurel Highlands & Ohiopyle. My kids (7 & 9) loved to sit and play in the screened in porch. My parents & I loved the fire pit, which is nestled right next to the creek. The cottage was super clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. The roads are windy (easy to get turned around), and be sure to get gas and groceries before the last minute!! It's pretty secluded. However, that's part of what we liked about it! The hosts were really quick to reply when we needed help with something. I'd highly recommend this place!
Very cute little cottage. Super clean and comfortable. Itâs in the woods and can be pretty chilly even in the summer so keep that in mind when youâre packing clothes! Loved our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. It had its own stream/small waterfall on the property. Outdoor seating down by the water with a fire pit and a nice deck with chairs, table and umbrella . Very cozy living room and an enclosed porch on the other side of the home . You do have a few steps from the living room up to the kitchen/main bedroom and then back down again onto the enclosed porch each with a sturdy handrail. The home was very clean and the kitchen was very nice with lots of amenities; no dishwasher but it was just the two of us . The yard is full of rhododendron which will be beautiful in full bloom. On the way to the cottage stop by the Flight 93 Memorial, and go see Falling Water.
Had a great experience at this cabin in the woods! Spent both evenings at the outdoor fire pit and got to relax, the creek running right next to it made it even better. Place was spotless. Definitely hoping to return!
