My friend and I visited with her daughter and mine to celebrate my friends 50th birthday. The location and property were fantastic for our stay. It was in a great location and very comfortable for the four of us. Right in the heart of everything and a great place to rest after a long day of sightseeing, beaching and exploring! The only snag we ran into was what to do with our luggage on checkout day until we had to go to the airport but the team was very helpful in getting us connected with Charleston Bag Valet.
This property was in the perfect location for walking the city. Close to many restaurants, parks, and interesting sites. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs which they did mention but be careful if you have any mobility issues. We loved our stay at this lovely condo.
Yall CRAZY for complaining about the water situation and havenât lived in a dorm or apartment and it shows. The shower has great water pressure and the sink is fine as well. The toilet makes for a fun situation but nothing to complain about. The location is perfect and you can walk just about everywhere. Parking garage across the street if you need to leave to go to the beach or something.
We spent 3 nights at this awesome condo. It was clean, communication was awesome, and the location canât be beat. It was right in the middle of everything. Weâll definitely be back!
If you like really hot showers, no cold drinking water, having to pour water into the toilet to flush your poop, then this is the place for you! If you want a more civilized experience, then donât rent here. They blamed the âold pipesâ in the building, but no other units had this problem. Really disappointed in the lack of basics when renting a home. Charleston and the location were superb!
Two night stay for anniversary. No essentials like bottled water, etc. were provided. Furniture was scarred and scratched, looked like it was picked up on the roadside. AND there is a permanent sign in the bathroom saying low water pressure and please fill the toilet tank with water each time you use it, they did provide a pitcher. When contacting management company they shrugged it all off and told us to enjoy our stay in Charleson in the lovely weather we were having. VERY disappointed for $400+ a night. Great location is about all the positive thing that can be said. Do not recommend.
Location near the market was ideal. We were touring the College of Charleston and this location gave us a great base near the market house and so many restaurants. Could easily walk up to campus. Had a fantastic dinner right around the corner at Pearlz and a fabulous breakfast at Harkin.
The condo was pretty good. The stars I gave are for the location and the natural light in the condo. That said, the fold out couch bed was so uncomfortable and warped that it was unusable. When we unfolded it some belongings from previous renters fell out. Had to contact manager to get additional bedsheets as not enough were provided for the day bed and couch.
As previously mentioned in other reviews, the water pressure for the toilet refill is terrible and management literally left a pitcher out for tenants to manually refill the toilet. For my teens it was embarrassing. And TBH it's kind of gross to spend this amount of money and have to refill the toilet tank manually.
That said, the location and vibe of the space bump the stars up.
Crappy plumbing...great location. Two-and-a-half stars at $ the rate we paid/night
This property is inside a Blue Green Vacations time-share property. The East Bay Street location is quite good. One can walk the center city/historic district, including the Aquarium and most museums. Self parking is a block away. That's pricey at $2/hour, with an $18/overnight cap. But if one comes and goes, the $2/hour rate kicks in. Several times our daily parking ran $33+/day. Now the not-so-good. The bathroom plumbing is anemic...the cold water pressure is a trickle. Don't expect to flush the toilet more than twice an hour. The shower hot water is not "normal". To get a hot shower, one must position the control to "7 o'clock", not full-on to 6 o'clock. That took a call to Vacasa to figure out. Vacasa did send a maintenance team to replace a burned-out hallway bulb, and snake the bathroom drains. Or at least they snaked the bathroom sink. One will finish one's shower standing in two inches of soapy water, the shower drain empties that slowly. On check-out there were no garbage bins as stated, so I left the bag of garbage on top on the courtyard trash receptacle. The instructions in the unit said leave all the towels in one place. A later message said to also strip the bed. Whoops...missed that one. The unit has hallway stairs on the 2nd floor, so the luggage cart is only good for getting from the lobby to the 2nd floor. Not a big deal if your suitcase has wheels, I guess. At the /night (all-in after fees and taxes, but not including parking) it isn't a b
We loved everything about the condo but the location was #1thing! The restaurant we had made reservations at before we arrived was right next door, the market was one block away and Rainbow Row was very close. Harris Teeter grocery store was about a 10 minute walk away. We enjoyed everything about our stay!
If you love low water pressure, then this is the place for you. We had to use a mason jar from the kitchen to fill the back of the toilet in order to flush it. This is obviously a known issue because there was a sign on the bathroom counter that said the toilet can take up to 7 minutes to flush. The kitchen water pressure seemed fine - only had issues with the toilet and shower. We added back one start for the location, nicely decorated and comfortable bed. However, even taking these items into account, we probably would not stay here again due to the water pressure issue.
The location of this property is amazing, and the space is clean and spacious; however, it needs some work, and we had several major issues: (1) The one toilet does not flush well and can take 10-20 minutes to fill. During the first 24 hours of our stay, the toilet did not flush at all. We resorted to filling it with a pitcher and/or using the lobby bathroom. This doesn't work with 5 people in a condo. The management company sent 2 different plumbers out the 2nd day and got it working, but still, VERY slow to fill. (Note that the management company is not the one on property that owns the rest of the units, so the on property folks were not able to help.) (2) The sofa sleeper is not useable at all. The frame is completely warped. We had to resort to pulling the mattress onto the floor. This unit is not suitable to sleep 5 people. (3) Less significant, but worth noting, the spiral staircase is very tough to maneuver, the carpet in the loft is very stained, the toilet paper and paper towels are of very poor quality, the kitchen is not well stocked, and no extra towels/washclothes are provided.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This unit is walkable to so many restaurants, shops, city market, fountain, pier! Unit is clean, spiral staircase is adorable! Stayed for a mother/daughter trip and would stay again! My only drawback was the bed was a little lumpy.
Property is located within walking distance to popular sites to see in Charleston. I was surprised that the rental property is located within an 80+ unit timeshare building. To access the one bathroom and bedroom, climbing the spiral staircase was a pain. Do not recommend staying there if you have mobility difficulties.
