some cleaning needs to be done. Air return duct was black with stuff! lost something under bed, went to retrieve it, did not as it was filthy under bed-Dust hair etc. The plug in air freshener was WAY TO STRONG - unplugged it the odor lasted the whole stay -allergies went into high gear. only thing really good was the bed and pillows - very comfortable
I have been travelling to Charleston for last 3 years while my daughter is a student at College of Charleston. This trip we needed a pet friendly home for an extended stay while she moved between rentals. This met every need we had - comfortable, convenient to restauants, clean and quiet. It was appropriately and reasonably priced. We had one minor maintenance issue which was resolved quickly and professionally. We will definitely book through here again.
Staying in this old Charleston home was fun! Yes itâs old and it creaks but I found that charming. Location is close to free bus stop if you donât want to walk. Bed was super comfortable. Would stay again.
Excellent for being able to walk around and enjoyed the quaint neighborhood. The space was very run down, porch is slanted and somewhat falling apart, outdoor furniture dirty and floor paint chipped up. If you have more than 1 vehicle they will not let you park there even though there is enough space. After several messages about parking and not finding a place nearby (they suggested one .7 miles away) they offered us a spot next door for an additional fee. It would have been helpful to have been offered this from the beginning rather than us having to stress about it after arriving. This was not the hospitality we typically get at VRBO and we have stayed in short term rentals all around the world.
We loved our stay in this historic Charleston home. The accommodations were clean and equipped with the perfect amount of linens, and kitchen equipment for a get away trip! The location was perfectly located around little shops, cafes and the shuttle service. It was about a 5-10 min walk to the main drag of King street. This is definitely an older vibe home but we enjoyed the stay!
We stayed only one night but we would definitely stay again. House was easy to access and location was fantastic. Close enough to walk to King Street and enjoy the area. I saw other reviews saying it was loud at night but that was not our experience. It was quiet and relaxing. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay in beautiful Charleston. The house was such a classic style true to Charleston that we felt like we were part of the history. There was lots to see and explore nearby, and a quick drive to the hub of the city. We loved the small town feel of the neighborhood we were in and enjoyed the local coffee shop and bakery. Close to the downtown area but just enough out to not be in all the noise and congestion of the city.
This could be such a great space but itâs missing the tlc every home in this cute neighborhood deserves. We stayed 4 nights and we each got one set of towels. The front door doesnât stay shut without a deadbolt. The living room furniture could use an upgrade if you plan to sit for a bit. Itâs in a great location! Lots of cute independent shops and restaurants.
The location of the house of definitely historic, the porch did lean a good bit but other then that the inside was beautiful, the stay was great and Iâd definitely stay again.
I expected this accommodation to be in an old home but not in a really old and in need of numerous repair and upgrades. Then there was the noise from there guess above that when they walked sounded like they were coming through the ceiling.
I wound not consider staying here again, pay a little more for a good nights sleep.
Rent from VRBO a lot so have stayed in many different units.
Location although a bit of a walk to King Street we didnât mind. The house outside could use some TLC but inside although not fancy it worked. Washer/dryer helpful. Kitchen although we really didnât use was handy. The front door lock was sometimes tricky to open, again a little TLC would help. Another club chair in family room area would be helpful. Would be comfortable renting again but looking for fancy place this might not be for you.
We had a wonderful stay at this property in Charleston! The neighborhood was beautiful and just a short walk to downtown. This historic home was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host reached out to make sure we didnât need anything shortly after we checked in. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again!
Wonderful quaint home near King St and all the fun of downtown Charleston. Hosts were super communicative and easy to work with. Wonderful time at a wonderful home. Immaculately clean and a short walk to everything Charleston has to offer!
my son has college roommate and I stayed four nights over spring break. The Apartment accommodated all of our needs and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect to all our areas of interest throughout Charleston longest drive was to Folly Beach, which was 25 minutes. The apartment itself was very cozy and well furnished. Both beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our evenings, relaxing, and watching a movie. I love the fact that it had a porch area. I would highly recommend!
