Our room's air conditioning was broken. I called down to have someone come up. They came right away and cleaned the dirty filter. He said if it didn't cool down to call back to the front desk. It was getting cooler (dropped from 78 to 74) so it did feel better. I woke up in the middle of the night to the room back up to 78. It was too late to call for service since my young daughter was sleeping and I didn't want a man coming into our room late at night to fix the air. I talked to the front desk in the morning and they apologized for the inconvenience but nothing was done to compensate. Also, parking was $49 a night - a bit pricey after the two night stay in a hot room.

Staff was just okay. Room was very average, not dirty but not the most clean. Parking is a cluster and expect to spend hundreds extra on it. I understand it is Charleston but other hotels have parking included. It was in a GREAT location though so that makes up for the very average experience.

Good location, hotel ok

The location is great and rooms were clean. However, the rooms at this location are out dated and not as nice as other Hyatt Place's I have stayed at. Apparently they are about to undergo a renovation so hopefully the rooms will be brought up to par with other Hyatt Place properties.

The property is not luxurious but very clean, very convenient and reasonably priced. The staff was responsive and friendly.

It was an enjoyable stay, convenient for most things. Young lady on afternoon reception extremely helpful when I was feeling unwell. Breakfast left a bit to be desired. All frozen fruit only sweet plain yogurt and high sugar packaged cereal. The evening buffet was good also the dinner on Thursday evening.

This was the worst places I have stayed at in Charleston. The entire hotel was hot and on the floors were very moldy smelling. When we got there, there was no luggage carr available, at all in the entire hotel. There were 3 people in my party and we had to drag our luggage to 2 different floors. My father's door to the room would not open and he was given a hard time about the key to the room

Nice smallish hotel

We had a great time exploring Charleston, and when we got back to the hotel it was great. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly. We had one small problem with the A/C and it was fixed promptly while we were out. There is a small bar, and complementary breakfast. It's not the hotel to spend a great deal of time in, but as a base to explore Charleston it was great.
