The house was clean, lots of breakables we had to hide in a closet away from our kids but fine once everything was moved. No counter space to cook but there are several places to eat within walking distance. The neighborhood is nice and seems safe. There is a small park two blocks behind for the kids. The space was perfect for a place to sleep while in town for a memorial.
We stayed here for a couple nights during a horse show and were so happy to have found the property. So many cute shops and restaurants nearby and the home itself is adorable. Definitely recommend!
Although the loft has the colloquial charm and coziness you see on it's website, there are serious issues with the safety of the premises that outweigh the appeal. Upon arrival we elected not to stay. Our request for a refund was denied by the owner based on her observation through her security cameras of the private tirade we had upon discovering the condition of the premises. After reviewing photo evidence, Vrbo has supported her decision to keep our money claiming the property to "not be uninhabitable". It would unfair for me to comment on any other issues as we did not stay in the apartment. I am certain, Charlotte is a lovely town but until significant repairs are made to the stairs, entrance and windows my family and I consider the loft as "uninhabitable". Buyer beware.
Great loft in downtown Charlotte. Easy walk around the downtown area which included coffee shop, bar/restaurant, movie theater ect. Would do it again and would recommend.
The Gypsy Loft is right in the heart of downtown Charlotte within steps of numerous restaurants and shops.
25 steps above the street level, it's clear you're in an old building with exposed brick and a lot of character. With two full-size beds, two twins, and a futon, we were able to sleep 7 in relative comfort.
We would stay here again!
