We stayed in this cute older home that had been renovated, and I really appreciated how close it was to town. It was a nice touch to have towels, toilet paper, and pots and pans provided, even though we didnât end up cooking. Unfortunately, our stay didnât turn out as well as we hoped. After a long week of work, we got to the house to find dirty sheets on both beds, empty chip bags and candy wrappers in the bedside drawers, and a totally different couch than what was advertised. Instead of the double bed sofa, there was an uncomfortable boxed couch that needed extra pillows just to sit onâdefinitely not a good sleep option. Our two youngest boys, aged 17 and 13, ended up with back and shoulder pain. We tried to wash the dirty sheets ourselves, but the dryer was broken. On the bright side, the host did bring us two brand new sets of sheets. The hot tub was another letdownâit looked gross, had a mildew smell, and we couldnât even change the temperature settings.
