We converged on Charlotte so my son, girlfriend and I could babysit while my daughter and husband could attend a wedding. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet since the house is next door to a Salon and off a main street. The neighborhood is nice and in a good area. Lots of stores, restaurants and good size park with great children's playground - all within walking distance of the house. The house was perfect for our needs. It had enough bedrooms for all and we ended up with a unused bedroom. It has 2 full bathrooms and 1 small room with a toilet so no one had to wait. The bathrooms had nice fluffy towels and hair dryers. Huge kitchen with two large tables with one overlooking a huge yard. The kitchen had sufficient plates, pots, utensils, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. All the appliances worked well including the washer/dryer (had small baskets with detergent, softener, etc. already available). Good size living room with a bedroom off to one side and on the other side of the living room was a den and another bedroom. Flat screen TVs everywhere - this worked well for us because one afternoon, some of the group watched football in the den, the others chill out in the living room while one child napped upstairs and the other watched TV in the upstairs bedroom. Upstairs is two large bedrooms and full bathroom. We loved that they kept the historical touches e.g. crown molding, original doors, etc. The backyard had a wonderful patio with pergola containing nice table (with firepit) and chairs. Off to the side was a BBQ that already had all the BBQ utensils set out for us The wifi worked really well as did the Air conditioning. Drive way could hold 2-3 cars and available street parking. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
