Pleasant Staff But Entire Hotel Needs An Update

We arrived at Charitte Douglas Airport at 11:14 pm after traveling for 22 hours. We knew we wouldn’t have the energy to make it home that night so we stayed at the Wingsre by Wyndham because their airport shuttle ran until midnight. The hotel is in desperate need of updates and room refreshing. The staff was courteous and helpful, particularly Leroy, the shuttle driver.

Needed a last minute hotel near the airport and this place was perfect. Very close by, clean, nice coffee bar for the am (checked out before continental breakfast) and had all the amenities and toiletries you could need. Latesha (I believe I spelled that right) at the front desk was beyond sweet and helpful during check in

Its very close to the airport. Free parking, comfortable room. Only stayed to sleep because we had an 6am frlight to catch, so i dont have too much input.

First off this place is disgusting and unsanitary. The room smelt like cat piss with a mixture of black mold. I booked 2 double full size beds they gave us twin XL. The windows were cracked. When taking a shower and stepping into the shower it made weird noises and felt like you were about to fall through. The shower curtain was stained and didn't even cover you or the bath tub thus resulting in water getting all over the floor.

Hotel was fine, staff were friendly, room was good size, bed was comfy, aircon was loud and didn't seem to be working right, breakfast was limited but enough to eat. We weren't made aware you need to request the free airport transfer so spent a hour waiting and then had to pay for a cab which was extortionate for the short distance. Great location for the airport but nothing else around.
