It started off great, nice neighborhood, easy check in process, and then we entered the house and it felt like we stepped into a brick oven. The house was a toasty 85 degrees!!! Reached out to owner who was originally responsive and said he would try to get a tech out to check the AC.
We only stayed the unbearable night because we had a family of 8 and couldnât get a hotel room. There were only 2 rooms with portable AC units, making me question that the owner wasnât aware that the central AC wasnât working before hand. We crammed 4 people in two rooms and didnât sleep a wink. The next day Johnnie informed us that he couldnât get a tech, apologized, and agreed to a discount for the inconvenience.
The fridge wasnât cooling properly and the upstairs hall toilet wasnât flushing properly with low water pressure. In addition to informing Johnnie about all this, we indicated that the description indicated â6 bedrooms with 9 bedsâ when there were only 3 beds. He informed us that there were â3 futons and 2 (inflatable) matressesâ. The description should accurately state that and not mislead!
Thank goodness it was a 2 day stay and the next day was rainy and cloudy so we spent most of the day outside because it was cooler than inside the house!
A day later when I reached out to inquire when my account would be credited, he stopped responding. I sent two additional messages about a refund with no response. He needs to make this right and not deceive customers.
