Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were clean and tidy. Beautifully decorated and presented. Will be returning. Great for dogs as they have a dog/boot wash as well.

The water machine was broken, no TV remote, heating remote didn't work and it was like a sauna so had to turn it off completely, kids running around screaming down the corridors until 1am.

Parking easy, staff in the pub lovely however there’s no hotel staff it’s an iPad to check in on. Stain on top of the bedsheet and TV was not that “smart” as the WiFi didn’t seem to be working for other guests (my tv would just not connect to Netflix and struggled to turn off unless I went to the wall.
Really comfy and looked lovely, minor issues mentioned.

All those points, didnt like the auto check in, it didnt work properly.
We didn't have breakfast as joined my family who live local ,rooms clean bed very comfortable ,lack of a wardrobe !!

The room was okay and the shower was nice but nowhere does it say that there is no reception desk and it is a self check in. I had book two rooms and the self-check in could not cope with that. I ended up having to go and find someone as they would not come to the check-in area. Once I found someone, I was advised that check-in for multiple room bookings not working was a known issue! My interaction with the staff at check-in and check-out was not good they were dismissive and made us feel like a burden. I would not recommend The Hide.
Can't fault the room for the price, and that it was dog friendly. Interesting self check-in process - very impressed. Food in the pub was ok but expensive for what you got, also don't like when pubs advertise elements on a dish which you never end up getting. Build your own ice-cream was missing half the things you say you can get, brisket didn't have any sauce and the kids mac and cheese was surprisingly devoid of cheese! We ate elsewhere the second night but happy with the rooms and would stay again.

Room and bathroom clean. Comfy bed!! Pleasant and helpful staff. Ideal location for Chatsworth house
Plenty of safe parking onsite. Didn't have breakfast, but had fish n chips for supper and it was really tasty. Room and pub was well maintained and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception is fully automated (no dedicated reception staff) but housekeeping and pub staff can provide some assistance. Ideal location for Chatsworth and the surrounding area.

Room was clean, had trouble getting hot water to shower in the evening. But soon resolved.
Surprisingly great. Really clean spacious room with comfortable bed and free parking. We ended up in an accessible room which looked really well designed. Only thing is to make sure you check in using the email they send as reception isn’t manned. You just find your booking and set up the room key. Very simple and efficient.
Our room was lovely and spacious and finished to a high standard. The automated check in and check out worked really well and it was easy to find and park.
Unfortunately, we had no hot water at all during our stay. Both myself and my husband had cold showers which ended our stay on a bit of a sour note.

My stay at this hotel was awful. It was in the process of being renovated which, had I known in advance, I would not have stayed here. At around 7AM I was woken up by loud machinery directly outside my hotel room. The area outside the hotel was full of builders, The on site restaurant was shut and so there were no breakfast facilities, which I had been relying on being available. I was given an insincere apology and was refused a refund by the very rude staff member hiding in a back office. Not good at all.
The fact that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment was not mentioned anywhere when booking. I was woken up at 7AM by loud machinery and builders directly outside my room. The restaurant was also closed for refurbishment and so there was no breakfast available despite the property advertising that there was. When I mentioned this to the reception staff, she was totally not interested and just stated that there would be no refund. The rudeness of the staff and the current state of the property made my stay very unpleasant.
