The property has a quiet and well maintained garden for a comfortable walk. The staff is friendly and pool facility is clean. There are slides in the pool area for children. The room is spacious and some rooms have own balcony. The morning breakfast item choices are less attractive with limited choices of western food.

Very good hotel thats well located, with lots of local restaurants, spas, etc within a 5 minute walk or less. We got upgraded to the Club floor, thanks to Expedia. The room was very nice, but one area of difficulty was the ac - 2 out of 3 nights, we had to call maintenance as the ac was not cooling at all. I think the hotel should have handled thst better by either moving us, or comprehensively looking at the issue during the day, as it was absurd to have the issue occurring again the next night. Overall a good stay though.

The hotel room a very comfortable and spacious, the Horizon club Concierge was excllent. We loved the breakfast and the restaurants. The only issue was the mosquitos in the lobby and restaurants.

I travelled with my family and my mom. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Very close to the night market . Just a short ride via grab to anywhere in Chiang Mai . The best part of the hotel was the water play area for kids and the big bear that they give for kids in the room. The food and breakfast was though just average ( especially almost no good selection for vegetarians at all.

The Shanghai La is a beautiful hotel and the staff is amazing. I lost my iPhone on a TukTuk and Rody and Beau bent over backwards to contact the driver and he returned it. The grounds are lovely and we spent time by the gorgeous pool relaxing before our journey home!

Simply the best

Everyone is so kind and any and every request you make they complete so quickly The beds here are pretty comfy but I am a mattress diva I guess, they brought me extra pillows to my room and I was able to create a fluffy oasis. Everyone does such an amazing job, the attention to service was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and the pool and gym are really fantastic. I wouldn’t book anywhere else in Chiang Mai, this experience was perfection.
