We were so disappointed. We had never stayed at a Hilton before and we had very high expectations. The staff was very kind but the pool heater was broken. The reason why we booked this hotel was FOR the pool because our kids love to swim. And no substitution was offered. Why couldn't we have gone to swim at the DoubleTree? And the breakfast was crowded and understaffed and the food and coffee was very sub-standard. And the layout of the hotel is actually really inconvenient because the lights shine into your room through the front door all night. My kids had a very hard time sleeping. This was a very disappointing property.

Such a wonderful stay! 10 minute walk to the blue line station that shoots directly to downtown Chicago in just under an hour and see some amazing views on the way for a $2.50 price! Outstanding customer service, wonderful stay and beautiful interior. AWESOME ACs.

The hotel is set up to be beautiful, however the upkeep and staff are not the best. The pool (one of the main reasons I chose this hotel) had an issue where the heater wasn’t working, so the water was too cold for me to go in. My husband who did venture into the cold water to swim came out to no towels left. He called the front desk to let them know, but they asked if they could put him on hold and he said no, but they did do anyways. When he went up to the front desk soaking wet to talk to them about the cold pool and no towels, the staff person didn’t seem to care much (he asked why they didn’t alert us before our stay that the heater was out and wasn’t given much of a reply) and then was given some room towels. Both the front desk person and management who we talked to after pretended to care, but basically said it is what it is without offering us something to make up for the expensive hotel not having the amenities it claimed to have. I don’t think we’ll be heading back there, which is a shame because the hotel could be beautiful if it were run better.
