This was quite a charming home. The access to public transportation was great. One mile walk or drive to parking garage. We ventured into the city every day but could have easily stayed in Oak Park.
We absolutely loved our stay at Historic Oak Park residence! The apartment was amazing and the hosts had prepared the room for our kids in a very thoughtful way. Close to restaurants and about 10-15min walk to the green line that heads to central Chicago. Would love to stay there again next time in Chicago.
The upstairs unit is spacious and the feel of the Oak Park neighborhood is present. The walk to Lake street is lined with historic homes and has a great vibe. The Amerika restaurant , on Lake was great. Our host was welcoming and even brought us a quiche when he thought the morning tree trimmers were disruptive. Being able to park our car in the garage was a real bonus. My only suggestion is to include a regular coffee maker in the kitchen. The Keurig had no pods.
