I've stayed at this property several times over the past few years and was always happy. I was a bit dissappointed this time. The staff were rarely at the front desk, i had gone down several times to ask for some small necessities but each time no one was there. Even after waiting a few minutes, the staff I did see seemed a bit overwhelmed. I was informed the pool was under construction though when we passed by we saw nothing that would indicate that. We had booked two nights but opted to leave after night one when I woke up with several small clusters of bumps on my body. We DID check the mattress and didnt find any signs, but was too icked out after that point to stay longer.

Very rundown feel. Clientele was questionable. Common spaces and elevators smelled of weed. Water bottles left in room were found to be unsealed, which was alarming. Space and layout of room was great for family and appreciated. Room itself was clean.

This trip should have been canceled. No one explained there was not a pool working. Even though directly at check in my kids stating in front of staff, how excited they were to go swimming. Therefore not mentioning it makes no sense. Then the manager Dan, would not help us find another Hyatt place wit a pool. One of the staff members gave me an attitude when I advised we found another room 20 mins away at another hotel. The experience was just horrible all the way around.

I reported several times to the front desk that my room was extremely cold and the thermostat was not working. The response I received was dismissive, and I was told the issue was due to motion-activated lighting — which did not make sense and did not resolve the problem. I asked to switch rooms but was never assisted. Additionally, the hotel offers very few amenities, and the overall hospitality did not meet expectations

Good breakfast, friendly staff. I found the bed to be too soft and it was tough to sleep both because of that and because of the heater, which was either too hot or not enough in Chicago winter weather. It's also super loud and blows dry air at the bed. Otherwise I liked the room which was spacious and laid out well. Would be nice if there was any moisturizer and the shower gel was weirdly harsh.
