We were five adults, and this is our collective feedback: This spot was cute, and the layout was great. The living room was a good size for our group, and everyone liked that the kitchen was labeled so well. If you have trouble with stairs, know that there are a few flights to climb largely without a banister, and the steps are shallow.It’s located relatively close to a train stop and bus stops, but the bus can be unreliable. Obviously not the owner’s fault there. If you prefer a very quiet place at night or like to have windows open, know that you can hear the highway and train traffic day and night, and even more so with open windows, since it’s next to the highway.The TVs in the living room and primary bedroom worked great, as did the bidet in the primary bath (though the seat is stained). The water temp in the primary bath was annoying. On day one, it came out pretty hot. After that, hot water was an issue. I once waited 10 minutes and it never warmed up. But the other bathroom had hot water right away, every day.There was noticeable water damage and brown staining in various parts of the rental, plus all the air vents and bathroom fans were coated in dust and grime, which is unfortunate given the cleaning fee that’s charged.Cleaning supplies were lacking, like a spray to wipe down counters. We also couldn’t find trash bags for the smaller cans in the bathrooms, which wasn’t ideal since we’re instructed to take out all garbage.Overall, it was a fine stay.

Very pleased with the property. The location was convenient to our planned activities. The first night I was awakened by loud music, and the air conditioning worked, but at night the temperature was too warm to be comfortable.

Stayed here 5 nights with a friend while attending a festival. Walkable to United Center and quick food options in the medical district. Place was nice clean and the beds/pillows were surprisingly comfy! Great views from the rooftop deck. The neighborhood has some mixed reviews online but we found it to be just fine during the day as well as night as we walked a lot. The gated parking was an added bonus.

Nice Quiet Neighborhood

It was a very quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the rooftop views and living area. I will say that it wasn't the cleanest of places to stay. The bathrooms had a lot of built up staining and soap scum. The flooring is very uneven and seems to have water damage in the kitchen. We ended up wearing indoor sandals in the house because there was a lot of dirt and hair on the floors. I think it just needs a good deep clean. Other than cleanliness, it was a pretty nice place.

Great stay

Overall it was a great stay. My family has special dietary needs so we need to be able to cook a few meals at wherever we stay to be on the safe side, so the fully equipped kitchen was a definite plus. Had some rowdy neighbors to the building next to us, but what can you do. We look forward to visiting Chicago again soon.

Perfect stay for my family in Chicago ! The host was responsive and easy to communicate with through chat. They were able to accommodate early check in so we could put our luggage away since our flight arrived early.

Great Spot in Chicago!

This is a great spot on the west side of Chicago! Place was clean, cute and renovated with a beautiful rooftop view! We had a little trouble with the smart lock but the host was easy to get a hold of and we were able to get the issue solved immediately. Beds were super comfy and great vibe on the whole place. Also we had free and easy parking across the steet. Next time I’m in Chicago I will definitely be staying here again!

Really enjoyable place

Location was excellent. Easy access to the CTA Blue Line. Walking distance to a great coffee shop and some good restaurants. Relatively quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood felt quite safe. Parking across the street was free and was no problem. We did reserve the locked parking space behind the building, but the handheld gate control was not in the apartment, so we couldn't use that parking space. The "in unit" washer and dryer were actually not in the apartment itself, but in the basement of the apartment building and were not useable due to construction. They also required money to use, so the washer and dryer description in the property details was a bit misleading.

Nice place with a few hiccups

The Good: We enjoyed beautiful top floor condo with a view of the high school fields across the street and downtown, from the rooftop. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable. I heard no complaints about the other beds in the household. Location is good. We used the blue line to come in and tour the UIC campus. Over spring break, with no events going on in the area, we had some trouble with restaurants randomly closing because there weren’t enough patrons. We’d highly recommend calling before committing to one because there isn’t much within quick walking distance. The Less-than-Good: We weren’t thrilled about our communications issue but did manage to work through it. Hopefully, the owner will take that forward and adjust his future engagements. Overall, the place could also have been more clean. Black hairs all over the master bathroom floor, food on the outside of the cookware, sticky cabinets and counter appliances, and the dishwasher was either not emptied or not run. Our request for trash bags was quickly accommodated. This has been shared with the owner so that the cleaning crews will be more diligent in the future. If you are a germaphobe, or sensitive to smells, this may not be the place for you. There were so many scented plug-in’s, that we were a bit overwhelmed. Unplugged, the place smelled fine so I don’t know what the point of all the plug-in’s were. While there were things we weren’t happy about, if these items are addressed, we’d happily stay again.

Great apartment in Chicago!

Beautiful apartment! We really enjoyed our time in Chicago. We ended up just parking across the street. It was easier, and there was always a spot available. There are many stairs leading up to the third floor apartment, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. The host texts you right back if you have concerns or questions.

Concert Stay

Great location close to United Center for concerts/events. Unit was very dirty - sheets were visibly dirty, floors filthy - it was clear the unit was not professionally cleaned. We would have left if we could find somewhere else to stay. Extremely disappointed.

Our stay was overall as expected. Check-in was easy and it was very convenient to have a few baby items readily available. The cleanliness was lacking especially in the bathrooms. Our biggest challenge was communication with the owner. We didn’t need much however renters do not have control over the thermostat and must contact the owner for all changes. With the weather changes, the apartment got very warm and it was difficult to get a response about turning down the heat. Street parking was ample and easy. Location and rooftop deck were great.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay - the property is close enough that it’s just a short train ride away from the city, but far enough out that you’re not heavily caught up in city traffic. The rooftop deck was great, even with the cooler fall temperatures. Plenty of space for us and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Would definitely recommend to others.
