The apartment was nice although a little too sparsely furnished. The basket of snacks was really great! The paper blinds were nearly impossible to open and close so we had to use the lights all the time, even during the day.The mattresses were saggy and a bit lumpy and the pillows were 2 flat ones stuffed into 1 pillowcase so they were hard and kept falling apart (a pillow would fall out). The main problem was the directions for getting into the unit. What does "left" or "right" mean? Left when you're facing the building or facing the street. What is the middle lockbox when there are 6 of them? My friend was the first to arrive and had to find the lockbox and get the keys on his own. It took him over an hour because none of us could fully understand the directions.
Chose to stay here for a long weekend in the city seeing the sites and a concert. It was a bit further out than we thought due to traffic. That is the city for ya though. The space was perfect for our family of 6. We had a few minor hiccups when we first checked in but Natasha took care of us quickly. She was a great host. Very responsive to questions. Prior to check in she even helped us make choices about the best way to get around the city. I do recommend working with her.
Cleanliness was subpar. Cleaned the kitchen and
Washed all the dishes before using.
Previous reviews said things to do within walking distance, not true.
Any eateries had no indoor seating. The Subway staff were behind 1 inch bullet proof glass.
First day there we walked a couple blocks each way and went back to apartment to call for Uber. Most Uber drivers warned us about the neighborhood.
Property was fine, met our needs for two nights. The pictures and inside of the apartment do not match the area surrounding property. Everything was âas listedâ just surprised by the area and building, inside of apartment was much better than appearance of outside of building. Inside of apartment does need some work. Flooring is chipped and cracked, all dishes and cups were dirty and gross, window coverings were only paper and tacked up they did not provide sufficient cover. There are two air conditioning wall box units, one in living area and one in one of the bedrooms, they were super inconsistent you were freezing one minute and sweating the other. The other two bedrooms were very warm without air, the did have fans but didnât help much.
This place was super great. The location is amazing. A lot to walk to around the area. The property was clean and well stocked. Check in was easy and quick. Check out was also smooth. I would definitely recommend this spot. Getting to downtown Chicago was also really easy. The train is also close if you don't want Uber everywhere. 10/10!!!!
We have spent a wonderful days at Natasha's place. The apartment is very comfortable and cozy. A spacious and very well equipped kitchen.
Living-dining room with a Smart TV and three comfortable bedrooms with two bathrooms. A designated place to park the car. Check in and check out was very quick since it has a lock box.
It is located two or three minutes drive from an area of âârestaurants and businesses.
On the next trip to Chicago, this place would be my choiceâŠ..thanks Natasha.
The property is well located to oak park and to the green line to get to the city. Inside was fine, but not great. Little things like no end tables (so be prepared to set things on the ground), really scratchy sheets (we ended up running out and buying our own), etc. makes the place good but not great.
Came in for the CCM World Invite hockey tournament which was spread across 3 arenas across the city. The property was a great location and easy access to those arenas.
Our host was great. Very responsive and made our visit enjoyable.
The updates were nice but there broken items. The toilet paper dispenser and toilet seat were broken. The worst part were the very dirty floors. After a few hours of going without shoes, our feet and socks were filthy. Ive never given a negative review before but I was disappointed in the overall condition of the property.
Some friends and I stayed here for the weekend. The place was very clean and fully stocked with everything you needed. It was little hard to find the parking the first night and streets was little loud at night. Was little worried about the place at first but we didnt have any problems at all. She was very easy to get a hold of and answered all our questions. We even left something and she called us so we could get it back. Very honest woman. We are very much thankful. We had a wonderful weekend in Chicago.
Very comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out. Be prepared for some stairs, but if mobility is not an issue for you or your group, give this one a shot!
We had a great weekend. The property manager/owner came to help with a locked door and the Wifi. Since the Wifi problem was not able to be fixed she credited our account. This was appreciated. We will definately stay again.
Apartment was nice and clean! But hall was dirty and smells cigarettesâŠ
Also we have issues with parking- someone parked a car on our space on parking, so we parked our cars where we can find spots- so owner texted us to move cars because it will be towed!
the best thing about this apartment is its price.
We found this place to be great for the price. It was very clean and communication was excellent, with plenty of space and a bonus having two bathrooms. Daly Bagel is a really pleasant walk away if you go down Iowa St.; they have great bagels and coffee. Garfield Park Conservatory was a nice stop not too far, free parking and entrance by donation. We were friends staying near a friend near Oak Park who led us around, but it's also good for a family wanting to stay a little out of the city and take the train in. There was some street noise that we expected for the location, some in our group noticed it more than others. It would be nice to have a little more furniture like a couple extra chairs to gather more comfortably, but for the price and our overall experience I have zero complaints. Thanks for a great stay!
The flat was, clean, well stocked and very spacious. It is about 15 minutes' walk from Austin L Station and 30 minutes' walk to downtown Oak Park. Natasha, the host, was super responsive to questions and queries and absolutely a great host!
The flat was perfect for our needs (four addults, two kids). We'd happily stay there again. Thank you!
The apartment was decent inside although pictures on VRBO look better. It was a nice size. The address location is Oak Park and across the street is Chicago border so that was a big difference demographically. The apartment building is old and dirty. It would have been nice to know that it is a 3rd floor apt. I had 4 elderly relatives visiting me age 60-92 and they had to go up 3 flights of stairs with bad knees. Stairs were very difficult for them. That fact would have been vital to know prior to booking. Itâs not just 1 flight of stairs it was 3 flights. It is listed as a condo but itâs more like a apartment. Oh I did ask for the address the day I booked but was told it wouldnât be available till later which wasnât until check in day. So I had no time to see where this location was or what floor it was on. For the reasons listed in this review I give it a 3 star.
The condo was very well kept, with very nice furnishings. Great location. The host was very clear about check in/out procedures, and answered all my questions in a timely manner.
Natasha was a great host. The place was very nice inside, and very clean. The location was not great, though. The immediate neighborhood had a lot of closed down storefronts, and no great places to shop. It was really convenient to have the 66 bus across the street to bring us downtown, but the bus ride took over an hour each way. Overall, we had a nice stay there.
