The house was clean and spacious and was in a convenient location. The check-in process was clear and easy and we had no problems finding the home or getting access. The host was very responsive and friendly. Those are the positives. As for the negatives:There was no toilet paper in the house when we first arrived, though the host was very responsive to this and got us restocked quickly. (However this should have been checked and restocked before we arrived in my opinion.)The fridge started leaking our last night there. We put a towel down and notified the host. I don't know that this was predictable or preventable but it may also reflect aging appliances. Our biggest issue is that the beds were some of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. We used three of the bedrooms and all of us had poor sleep due to the discomfort of the beds, so it wasn't just one room.
Couldnât get the dishwasher to work. Messaged the host and he replied once with a solution that did not work. Never replied to further messages or phone calls.Couch in living room had a bad odor.Front and back yard were over grown and untidy.Furniture in backyard was dirty. Ther was also a bad smell in the backyard due to rotten apples on top of a shed roof.
The home was perfect for our visit to Chilliwack to see family in the area. We loved how close it was to Cultus Lake and Castle fun park as those were on our list of things to do while in the area. Having a laundry room to use makes it so much easier to go home knowing I donât have a ton of laundry to do once home. The beds were comfortable. And at night the neighborhood was quiet. Weâd stay again.
Our experience was excellent. Check in was very easy, the home was very clean and was exactly as described. Our hose was responsive and helpful. Plenty of parking, ample linens, the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this rental.
It was a nice place to stay and had lots of room for our family. The only hiccup we had was finding out the AC was only in the living room. When we arrived the AC was turned off and it had taken some time to cool down. The owner brought us some more fans right away so that helped. Not something that is a big deal for adults but can be frustrating when trying to keep a child and baby cooled down.I did like that they have lots of baby/toddler item's available in one of the closets. We usually stay in hotels so was nice to have the option of some of the items if needed. The backyard is absolutely beautiful. My 3 year old loved going into the backyard and showing all of us the grapevines and the big apple tree.
Gonzalo was a very attentive host and provided all necessary information for a smooth check in. The house was as depicted in the profile. The property was clean and comfortable. Was adequately stocked in the kitchen to make our stay comfortable.
Everything was perfect, you find everything you need in this property. The host was super helpful and friendly I definitely recommend you go and stay there
Overall the property description matched our experience fairly closely but there were some key discrepancies that made a difference:
1) There was no travel crib as listed. We reached out to the host about this and they said previous guests damaged it and another was in the process of being delivered. On one hand I completely understand that these things happen and it was just bad timing but on the other hand, we were relying on that amenity for our 14 month old and his sleep was negatively impacted by not having a crib because that is what he is used to.
2) Including A/C as an amenity was misleading. There was one portable A/C in one bedroom but nothing else. We stayed at the peak of summer and were really hoping for proper A/C. The fans helped a bit but it was definitely not the same.
3) We couldnât get Netflix to work on the second day. We didnât bother reaching out to the host about this because we were tired after a long day.
4) The location in North Chilliwack is not the greatest. Itâs not a very walkable neighbourhood (to coffee, etc.) with small children.
I realize thereâs a lot to consider and manage as a host but these small discrepancies between between the listing and experience do add up.
There were hairs in the beds so we weren't sure if the sheets had been changed and we slept on top of the blankets. The area is not the greatest. The house was decent otherwise.
We stayed with our three grandchildren and our daughter stayed one night! They were so happy to have their own room. The space very clean, well stocked with thoughtful personal care items.
I love the fact they recycle and provide detail directions to do so.
This is a great place to stay if you want to spend time with friends and family, watch a movie, play board games, go on walks and spend a little time in and around Chilliwack. The home is quiet, comfortable and has been updated. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds were comfy. There is definitely room for 8 people (as advertised), though 2 would be singles or good for kids sleeping together. The hosts were great. They provided an emergency number. We did not have to use it but I have a feeling they would be responsive if you did. We loved the coffee maker!!!
