The hotel was a good one for location near the Canyon! Clean in all areas. The outdoor pool was warm. It was a bit dirty (I'm sure pool season was about to end though) but we used it both days. The onsite restaurant had good food. The room was very comfortable and a nice large bathroom. Our one suggestion was the linens: very old and rough! I recommend updating those for softer so they aren't like sandpaper to use. Also, both nights we were there the restaurant was closed to the public for a private party until almost 7pm; not great for other guests wanting dinner as the dining options nearby are few.

We were pleasantly surprised. We expected a reliable but typical stay at a member of the Holiday Inn chain, especially in a very small, economically challenged town. Instead, its welcoming architecture reflects the indigenous history of the area; the grounds are a green and pleasant oasis; the food in the on-site restaurant, Garcia's, was plentiful and good (nice Southwest/Navajo touches, if you want to try local cuisine). The staff was young but very friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was comfortable, quiet, and spotless.

The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean. But, the usual "extras" from Holiday Inn were missing, i.e, no complimentary breakfast, no coffee in the lobby, and no ice machine. Also, the restaurant and reception are in a separate building across a parking lot from the rooms. Not good in bad weather. The property is old and outdated.

Decent, but just average. The restaurant is understffed. One waiter and there were about 10 to 12 tables used. He was great and a real hard worker, but hard to keep up. The food was below average. My steak was overdone and dry and my wifes was underdone. Shrimp was good.
