Excellent solo stay location - but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper
One of the cleanest holiday homes / rentals I have stayed in. Hosts were very clear with communication and made the self-check in and out easy. Kitchen well-stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, crockery etc. Netflix available via an account already set-up on the TV, which was great. Italian restaurant directly over the road that opens for dinner is lovely. The only issue I had was road and wind noise - the road is quiet but anything that does go past you definitely know about, alongside the large trees making a bit of sound when they sway in the wind. Easily fixed with a pair of earplugs when going to sleep.I would stay again!
The cottage was situated in a quiet rural area. Private, very pretty and quaint. Literally no neighbours close by.
The floors are a little uneven but this is part of the charm and history of a 100 year old cottage . It is full of character. It's a good base if you want to travel within Christchurch and beyond.
The hosts had thought of everything. All sorts of beverages and snacks welcomed us. Thankyou so much.
It had a definite french feel with the furnishings and tastefully presented.. It was immaculate and clean with fresh daffodils in a jug at the door. So many beautiful little touches.
I particularly loved the set of portmerion china that was there to use everyday.
I can recommend this stay without hesitation. The communication was brilliant and the whole experience was faultless.
It is definitely excellent value.
Thanks so much Matt and Bev.
