The property is beautiful. The house is spacious and has comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. There were some things that could make a stay so much better. The bedrooms need at least one chair.
Although there were books in a drawer with directions for the high end appliances, each one should have a quick explanation on usage next to it.
The information said the table seated 8 and yet there were only six chairs!
A putting green was described and even showed a picture of one in the original on line information, but there was actually a chipping area that required a different club. The pool table was missing a ball.
The fact that the only way in is to climb a large number of steps, the first ones having no hand rail, should be noted. More trash bags should be made available especially since there is no garbage disposal.
Posted directions for the grill and tv in movie room would have saved a lot of time and hassle.
Overall we felt the information sent on the house was misleading and lacked pertinent information.
Bottom line: we enjoyed our stay but would not recommend it without changes to the information provided.
We cane to the area to attend a wedding reception on North Beach and needed a house large enough for 3 children and spouses and 5 grandchildren. The house worked well and reasonably close to the venue. The house is large and worked well for us. It is well equipped although the spread out kitchen made it challenging to find needed items. The theater was a hit with the kids although challenging to use.
There were 9 of us including a 2 year old. The main level deck got a lot of use. The only problem with the kitchen was finding what we needed. It was so large that we had many places to look. It lacks nothing. Keep you fingers crossed that you can figure out the remotes to the TV's. We had problems but was given the help needed to figure it out. Highly recommend for a family gathering.
The home was very spacious, some wasted space, beds were comfortable. kitchen was well stocked. A little further from D.C. than expected. Landscaping was nice, the water was not fit to swim in boats were kind a well used, the house was well decorated. I have 3 girls graduating this coming year beautiful place to take pictures. Very good communication was great. thank you. C M from ohio
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sanare Estates. It's absolutely beautiful, just like the photos, and comes equipped with everything you'll need. For the ultimate relaxation, there are several patios for you to choose from. The movie theater room was also a family favorite. Every bed in the house is extremely comfortable and the views of the water are exquisite. We will absolutely look to stay again.
Spacious home, with views and something for everyone! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the weather not cooperating 2 out of 3 days we were there. Would not recommend staying during the rainy/muddy season. By far favorite parts were watching the sunrise/sunset, enjoying the built-in espresso/coffee maker, thearter room for movie watching, relaxing in the large hot-tub, and the gas fire pit on the deck! We also enjoyed the automatic piano! We spent one afternoon in Annapolis taking in the sights, then were happy to come back to this wonderful home where we cooked amazing foods and hung out with great friends the rest of the weekend. Would definitely recommend!
The house is lovely and well equipped. However, the Internet is very weak and if you try to work remotely, you can't. It could use some TV's in bedrooms and a sitting area on the ground floor.
Couple of problems:
Dishwasher closet to the patio overflowed one night.
Downstairs bathroom floor near the toilet was wet.
Septic tank has a leak - can really smell it.
Overall, our group of ten 70+ men enjoyed our stay. The number of useable beds for older people was less than advertised. No public bathrooms on second floor was
difficult for night use. All upstairs bathrooms are ensuite.
We enjoyed our stay. The privacy of the property was much appreciated. the grandchildren, ages 14, 17, 21, spent a lot time on the water and playing pool.
The House is very high end. The very large kitchen and the multiple appliances really impressed our cooks.
We older people spent our time on the lovely back porch, putting a 1000 piece puzzle together on the table and watching the many birds and water activities. This was our first rental house with an indoor theatre ---very cool!
There were a few problems. The air- conditioning system was hard to manipulate and we were quite "cold" indoors for the first night there, needing blankets and sweaters until we finally just turned it off.
The many stairwells were challenging for my wife, especially out front (a center hand-rail would be a great help) and the step down from the kitchen to the back porch required two hands free to make the transition for her.
We would definately consider another vacation there.
The house is very nice and large with lots of kitchen and entertainment amenities. Very remote location on a big piece of property. Very quiet and peaceful.
The house was perfect for 12 adults. Plenty of room to spread out and a variety of entertainment options. Loved kayaking on the water, sitting on multiple decks/patios, watching movies on the huge TV, playing pool and ping pong. The kitchen was amazing! All four couples had their own bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Had some trouble with the plumbing and locking doors. Was a little bummed that the sauna and hot tub were both not working, although I don't think they were advertised. All in all, a great place to stay!
Perfect home for our stay! Everyone had plenty of space to spread out, kitchen was well-equipped for big family dinners, tons of activities for all of our age groups, and thoughtful details throughout.
We had a lovely stay at Gladstone Manor. The house had ample space, including sleeping areas and bathrooms, and was great for our group of 12 adults. The location was easy to find and conveniently close to DC. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Would recommend!
This was an awesome stay. We had a few hiccups but they were quickly addressed I would definitely recommend this property. It truly had
everything you would need. The kitchen was simply amazing!
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Gladstone Manor. We were looking for a location close to our home that was large enough to accommodate my siblings and our parents who live out of town. My dad turned 60 and wanted to be with his children and grandchildren for the weekend. This home provided the perfect location to feel like we were away but still close enough to run home if needed. My family loves to cook and the kitchen was the selling feature. The kitchen was so well stocked. We were all able to cook our separate dishes without feeling on top of each other. The coffee machine was an added touch of luxury. Cathy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She assisted with all of my concerns promptly and was super personable. I would definitely recommend this home and would love the opportunity to stay again.
