Overall, The Jungle Green OTR was nice. It had everything we needed for a weekend visit to Cincinnati. I did not realize it was a 3rd floor walk-up, so be ready for stairs. Parking isn't ideal as there's no where to park just outside of the building. Instead, you need to find parking in a garage or lot, either a few minutes' walk away, which isn't ideal for loading or unloading. While the host was perfectly kind in his messages, he did not reply over the weekend to message I sent. The water pressure was also terrible - the one true downside to this place.
Great place in a great location! This is the second time we have stayed in this building with this host (I think the other time may have been on a competitor website) but we will probably stay here again. We really love the bed, spacious living area and the thought and detail that go into the place. Not to mention the super easy checkin and check out process! This place is a no brainer! We would definitely recommend this place again and again! The only honest concerns that prevent the 5 stars we had were that the place smelled a a little bit of cigarette smoke when we arrived (the host was quick to respond to this issue) and also the shower is missing a glass door which was replaced with a shower curtain that doesn't prevent the water from getting all over the floor.
This was a great place to stay. I only stayed one night here for the Music festival. The only things were going up the stairs and parking. My partner and I are in good shape. However, a person would not want to go up 3 flights of stairs if they have health issues. I would recommend the lower units if you require this. The stairs can be a challenge. The parking was a challenge but the host left great directions and messages explaining the places to park and the building instructions. The parking was about a mile away by the park. It was convenient once the parking was found. There is also the free rail system that can get you around town which was also great. The place had a kitchen, bath and separate bedroom. It was very clean. Coffee and water was provided. There were complaints about noise but I had no issues with hearing noise. It may be due to upper or lower levels. It was a quiet and comfortable sleep. I would stay ere again if I was back in the area.
When I first got to the unit I was surprised to find that you had to walk through a very small alleyway to get to the main building door! I will say at night the alleyway is lit very brightly so you can see. Also, you should be aware there are a lot of steps and it is a spiral staircase.
The jungle unit was stunning decor-wise and had all the things for a temporary stay! They even had cold water in the fridge! Very clean
I will say the only downfall is that I had someone come into the unit I was staying in - yes- someone else who rented another unit had my PIN code to my door - I reached out directly to the owner and was told there was no way this happened because they use single-use codes -the owner pulled the camera and confirmed he saw the other party at the door attempting to unlock - he told me it didnât work - but it did I was face to face with another person who was renting the unit above me - we were both confused and was taken away from that we had the same code for different doors! I would just be aware of this - there needs to be more precaution when it comes to these pin codes for these doors because no one should feel unsafe, no matter if it was an accident or not about someone opening a rental property that they reached out through a trusted app, and be gaslit when reaching out about it, the place is beautiful, but just be aware of this
Area can be a little load but is close to restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to Finley market and Samuel Adamâs. Public parking 1 block away.
