A beautiful lake front sanctuary on a 548- acre pristine private lake located in Lake County, FL. A great escape for anyone. A wonderful place to relax and regenerate your soul by just lying on the beach that is just feet away from your back door or taking a dip in the swimming area. There are 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a paddle boat and various life vests in most sizes available on the property for use at your own risk. There is a dock for fishing or you‘re welcome to bring your own boat (note: no boat ramp at this time but we have always been able to launch our boats with no problem using our 4-wheel drive truck and may be able to help you). This beautiful quiet country setting many areas to take a walk. If you are willing to drive 18 minutes to the front entrance of Lake Louisa State Park, they have many amenities that are available for a fee but also have lots of walking trails. You also may enjoy exploring all of the small quaint towns around us, Clermont, Groveland, Tavares, Mt. Dora, Leesburg, Winter Garden to name a few. They all have something to offer including a weekly farmers market and each town has a once-a-month food truck night on different dates and times.
If you are interested in a more active vacation - we are close to Orlando attractions such as Universal Studios, Disney Parks, LEGOLAND, I-Drive shopping, Clermont Olympic Training Center, cycling, world-class golfing and there are numerous Florida springs within driving distance for a day of swimming and snorkeling. Since Clermont sits in the middle of Central Florida, it is about equal distance to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean only about an hour and a half in either direction to ocean water for a fun day at the beach. Another local hidden gem that is close by is the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and trails (check hours, currently open weekends, and holidays only) -- rated 3rd nationally for birding alligator watching. Make sure you plan ahead. There are many things to do and see.
You will have the entire camp to yourselves. It has central Air and heating, a BBQ grill for your use and there is an outside firepit so you and your family can enjoy an open fire under the stars and listening to the sound of nature while enjoying some smores (Exception: No fires if there is a fire ban in place by The Florida Forestry Service). There is a back porch undercover for sitting and enjoying your view and there is also a larger Pavilion undercover with tables and chairs for sitting and eating (note: there are plenty of tables and chairs available for your use outside and although we are a non smoking home, we do allow smoking outside but do not throw butts on ground ). We have an on-site washer and dryer for your use and an on-site ice machine that supplies ice for the inside but also comes in handy for filling your coolers for any day trips you may plan. The kitchen has a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, coffee/tea/Keurig maker, air fryer/toaster oven and plenty of cookware/dishes/utensils. We have a welcome basket waiting for you with a few snacks, coffee/tea/water located in the kitchen to get you started until you can acquire what you need from the stores.
We have wireless Internet access, and two Smart televisions that come with all of the streaming programs you might want but you will need to use your own subscriptions for those that cost, there is also free LG live TV in living room and Roku Live TV in master bedroom to watch, along with free steaming apps. like Pluto TV when resting inside. There’s plenty of parking area but none of it is undercover.
We request that you don’t have large parties. However, if you have family in the area and would like to have a small gathering for meals or just relaxing around the lake, we have no objection to this but do ask to you get approval through us and limit it to no more than an additional 6 people. Absolutely no Smoking inside of camp, but it is allowed outside, we just ask you do not throw your butts on the ground.
We do have the camp professionally cleaned and sanitized after every visit.; however, we have left a small amount of cleaning supplies for your use during your stay, along with a broom/dust pan, mop, and vacuum/hand vacuum, just in case you need them. We also leave you with dish soap for dishes (we do not have a dishwasher in home so everything is hand washed) there is also detergent/dryer sheets for washing machine and dryer, and hand soap for the bathroom.
We are offering 1 night free with any 2-week bookings, stay for 12 nights/ 14 days and only pay for 11 nights.
