It’s a very nice house in terms of style and space and appointments. Great stocking of the kitchen and nice welcoming gifts. However, several features could be improved. Most importantly, the owner needs a better manager; the existing one, while pleasant on the phone or email, has a business model that is based on not bringing a maintenance person in, when there is a mechanical problem, until they have tried to use the guest to solve the problem by repeated email exchanges. Several problems could and should have been detected and solved before the guest arrived. (For example, the first evening we arrived, in a blizzard, the keypad lock did not work because the batteries were dead, and we had to go to a hotel instead.) Also, the driveway is in very bad condition. It is quite difficult to get your car past the cub without scraping the bumper, unless you are driving a truck or an SUV. No one is assigned to keep the driveway clear of snow in the winter. Someone is assigned to move the trash bins to the street on garbage pick-up day, but this service was inconsistent and they did not take the recycling bin to the curb for some reason. Also, several windows on ground level do not have any kind of curtains, which is is an obvious security hazard.
