Iâve given five stars on everything. I simply couldnât fold anything with my stay. (Not that Iâm looking for fold). The people who were, there were absolutely delightful, friendly, and helpful.
Itâs no wonder such a beautiful guesthouse would attract good people like that.
I needed a little timeout, and this was the perfect stopover and gave me the respite I needed. The town itself is lovely, and itâs walking distance from all the restaurants.
As a female solo traveler the Belfry was a great place to stay. I felt completely comfortable being there. It is also a great central location in which to explore Bellingen, without being slap bang in the middle of the main street. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The property is excellently centrally located. Parking is available off and on street. Itâs relatively quiet, shower water is hot and bathrooms are plentiful. We both prefer a more firm mattress than what was on the bed. Downsides? The room is very cramped with almost no hanging or drawer space - but thatâs not a problem if youâre there for a couple of days only and you travel lightly. The overhead fan canât be used if youâre a light sleeper - it makes a high pitched mosquito like sound, in the background!
The place is peaceful with pastoral views, cattle grazing and horses strolling in the fields.
Nice budget accommodation. There is a large communal kitchen, and nice outdoor seating. They keep the kitchen clean, but at any given time, it depends on the hygiene practices of fellow guests. The beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly, but not always present during the day. The shared bathroom is unisex, with multiple showers and toilets. The property is a bit hard to find, as there is only a small sign on the ground next to the building. It's located only one street over from the main street through town.
I like my own bathroom so this hippie guest house was really not my style! Quaint and very suitable for young backpackers! More of a backpacker lodge than a guest house!
