I refused the 1st room because the bathroom had not been cleaned. They gave me a new room without fuss but that was not much better. I disinfected it myself.
We were here for a geocaching Event. We stayed for five nights. Our room wasn't cleaned the whole time. Not that it was a problem. I'm sure that if we asked, they would have cleaned. It was a bit strange that they didn't tell us their housekeeping policy. Not even any signs in the room. The room was comfortable. We were right across from breakfast. It did get a bit noisy in the morning. Earplugs helped so I could sleep a little longer. Breakfast was typical.
Staying at this hotel was âsketchy.â Bad neighborhood. Horrible smell in the hallways. A mix of cigarette smoke and marijuana. Iâm not going to comment on the guests but it made us double check our door locks. Breakfast was bare bones. We just left. The one saving grace was the front desk clerk. Poor guy. He was professional, polite and overwhelmed with the craziness he had to deal with. Stay at this place at your own risk. And only a last resort.
Pipes smelled of mold and water pressure in the shower was next to nothing. Perhaps build up on the shower head? Ice machine not in service and 1 cup for hot drink, 1 cup for cold drink. No hand soap and no liner for ice bucket if only I could get ice. Clerk at desk was friendly.
I was expecting less, but was pleasantly surprised by the property, especially the soft facial tissues and toilet paper, a rarity in hotels these days.
This property was very clean and quiet. I had a problem with my room key and the desk clerk was extremely helpful and kind. After I left the property, I realized that I had left an expensive item in the room. I returned to the property and a different desk clerk was on duty and she was helpful and kind as well. My only complaint would be the fact that when I realized I had left the item in my room and attempted to contact the hotel, I was unable to find a direct number to
