I don't have the time to go into depth about what is wrong with this hotel! Room very basic, no heating, trees over grown and scraped the window all night, pillows didn't fit bed, terrible food served cold with items missing from the menu, was told 10 minutes actually took 50minutes (when the best thing about the food is the rocket you know its bad) I stay away 2 nights a week and always try to use pubs and independents this was not and what a mistake to make. The only good thing about the pub was the staff who are lovely.

Lovely stay at The White Hart Coggeshall

We’ve just had a lovely one night stay at The White Hart in Coggeshall. The inn is cosy and the room was clean and spacious. We were able to find a parking space in the small car park at the rear of the inn. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal and breakfast both of which were plentiful and delicious. If in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, amazing staff

Can’t praise this hotel enough. Super friendly check in and the staff are so helpful. Atmosphere in the bar is great, breakfast and evening meal were both superb. 12/10 rating and will be staying here again. Well done to all the team at the White Hart

Staff were so lovely, cannot fault them at all. Easy self parking and the pub restaurant looked lovely. The rooms however, so tired. Stayed one night for a wedding, was fine for this but just invest some money in it. Damp stains all over walls, tiny bath/shower with cheap curtain, carpet was filthy and had holes all over it, basically threadbare... Bed was so uncomfortable. Sorry to leave this bad review because it's a gorgeous historic building but it's not being made the most of!!
