The village itself boasts a friendly community-run shop and a welcoming, community owned, country pub. Just a short drive away, explore the charm of Wycoller Country Park (2 miles), Ball Grove nature reserve (1.5 miles), and the literary landscapes of Brontë Country, where Haworth (10 miles) offers the Brontë Parsonage Museum and cobbled streets steeped in literary history. Head east to discover Skipton – the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales – and venture further into the national park to visit Grassington (21 miles) or the stunning formations at Malham Cove (19 miles). To the west, enjoy the lush scenery of Lancashire’s Ribble Valley and the unspoilt beauty of the Forest of Bowland.
