An amazing hotel in an unbelievable location!

Pros: The room was unbelievable!
Cons: Couple of mugs would be nice!
Location: Just amazing... so much around to do that you need 3 weeks!! Just love this hotel!
Wow...really what can I say!? TBH, I was in 2 minds about leaving a review as I kind of what to keep this hotel a secret because I think once everyone hears about it it'll be fully booked all the time! I found it by chance when looking for somewhere different to stay for a few days in Cologne just before Christmas with my partner. I've always wanted to see the Christmas markets so wanted to be as close to the action as possible! This could'nt have been closer.. it was literally on the market on the Altmarkt... I can pronounce the name but it's the Gnomes/Elves market which was so apt as my nickname is Nomes! Upon arrival we couldn't believe how close it was to the station and cathedral. Checking in could confuse a few people but it was so simple. There are no staff or reception which is probably how they keep the costs down. But you get clear instructions via e mail beforehand to download the HotelBird app and you receive your details to unlock the front door and your room. If this doesn't work apparently there is a key held in a shop nearby but we never needed this.. you just need to connect via Bluetooth, keep your phone charged and away you go! We got in very easily - door is on the side of the building next to a shop and takeaway so everything on your doorstep! View from room just blew me away!! Def coming back but only to Room 405! I want to live there!

Automatischer Checkin und Türöffnung per Smartphone funktioniert hervorragend. Zimmer zweckdienlich und sauber. Doppelbett ist etwas schmal. Preis, trotz zentraler Lage, an der Obergrenze (aber das gilt für ganz Köln)!

Pros: Die Sauberkeit und der top Service!
Cons: Für mich war alles gut....
Location: Der Standort des Hotels ist perfekt. ca. 5 - 10 Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof und von der Haupteinkaufsstraße entfernt. Gleich um die Ecke gibt es div
Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet. Auch Fragen vor der Anreise wurden sehr schnell und freundlich beantwortet. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Nebenbei, wer den Karneval liebt, ist bei diesem Hotel an der richtigen Adresse. Man ist definitiv mitten drin statt nur dabei! :-) Danke, das alles so gut geklappt hat!

passende für junges Klientel

Pros: Stadtnähe, günstig, rein.
Cons: Siehe oben
Location: Stadtzentrum - ein Lokal nach dem anderen und 300m weiter große Einkaufsstraße - 400m vom Kölner Dom entfernt.
Angekommen, habe 2 Stunden warten müssen, obwohl ich schon einen Schlüssel hatte, da noch jemand das Zimmer benützte. Nach über 2 Stunden habe ich ein anderes Zimmer bekommen, das noch nicht aufgeräumt war. Nochmal 20 Min warten. Von 2 Nächten ging 1 Tag lang nicht der Lift. Es scheint ein ganz neues Hotel zu sein, da noch die Handwerker arbeiteten. Ich denke, wenn die kleinen "Wehwechen" ausgemertzt sind, dann ist es ganz ok.
