Colonno has a very convenient location on the lake. It’s about a 20-minute drive from the highway; reaching Como itself and finding accommodation there often takes more time and can be more complicated due to traffic and crowded parking.

Lugano is only 30 minutes away, directly across the mountains.

Some of the most beautiful villas and historical landmarks — such as Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello — are very close by. You can reach Bellagio by ferry in just 20 minutes. The Colonno pier operates during the season, from April to October.

There are many restaurants within a 10-minute drive, and some can even be reached on foot from the house. There are also two bars right in the center of Colonno.

This is also where the famous Greenway trail begins — travelers come here from all over the lake and even from Milan just to walk it.

My home is a true paradise. I often host couples in love, honeymooners, and wedding guests. Families with children also love staying here — there is plenty of open space for playing, a garden, and lots of sunshine. Cheerful groups come to celebrate birthdays or enjoy barbecue parties. The house has two floors and can accommodate up to 8 guests — four on each floor. An additional floor — a second apartment — becomes available when the number of guests exceeds four, and this is also reflected in the total price. This is important for booking!

On the first floor, there is a unique feature: an original Finnish aroma sauna and a home cinema for watching movies, football, or even hosting small parties.

The house is located in a very quiet place on the hillside — just a 5-minute walk down to the lakefront, where you’ll find beautiful beaches for swimming in summer.

At night, the starry sky from the veranda is so peaceful that, as they say, “the silence rings.”
