We had an enjoyable stay. The house was in a great location. Very clean and had most of the things we needed. It was close to the incline and the cog railway and walking distance from downtown. Would definitely stay again!
We went to climb the manitou incline and this place was the best location you could ask for. We loved it . Meet slot of wonderful climbers and will definitely be back.
Booked & stayed with multiple family members. Location is central to many attractions. Sadly, thatâs the only thing going for this home. Poorly maintained appearance of the home, especially given the price point & ratings, was embarrassing. Carpeting & furnishings are beyond dirty. Theyâre flithy! What isnât dirty is stained. 3âx1.5â bleached? stain partially hidden by a dirty throw rug on main living area carpeting is the âlow lightâ. Carpeted stairs leading to 2nd & 3rd levels are beyond redemption. Front porch glider is broken & a hazard. Claiming this property is a 9.8/10 is a complete farce, and only fuels distrust. At best, this property is a 5/10.
The house was perfectly located and had all of the amenities we needed. It was wonderful to sit on the front porch at the end of each busy day discussing what we had seen and done.
All of the stars are for its great location to all of the points of interest listed in the description. The photos are not an accurate picture of the property. The carpet needs to be replaced and the furnishings are sparse and dated. The kitchen does have two coffee pots but that is all that can be said. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor and up to five people can share the bathroom. Floor 3 has one master suite, the second bedroom has a bath attached but no counter space because it is too small. It is well over priced for what you receive but with a little attention and maintenance it could love up to its photos.
We came to Manitou Springs for the Barr Trail Mountain race and this house couldnât have been more perfect. It is conveniently located by the Cog Railway where the race starts. Beds were comfortable and my family had plenty of room to spread out. It was also fun to watch the crowds of people start the incline each morning! If you are looking for a place to stay in Manitou with a very short walk to the Cog Railway, Incline, or the Barr Trail -definitely stay here and avoid trying to find a parking spot. It is also an easy walk down Ruxton Ave to downtown for dinner and shopping!
The location of this property was perfect for our vacation - right next to the Incline, the Cog, and the free Metro to town. It was great to have our own parking! There are a few things that need to be updated (carpet stains, furniture, etc.) but I'm sure this property sees a lot of action. More artwork on the walls and black-out shades on all of the bedroom windows would be helpful. The property manager was so accommodating. The house had everything we needed for our 3-family vacation! Thanks so much!
The house was perfect for multiple families and so close to pikeâs peak cog railroad and the Manitou Incline. We walked everywhere, to town for coffee and meals, to the incline and the cog railway. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked out on the grill one night for dinner, it was great.
Everything about this home was perfect for our group. Spacious, great location and all the amenities you need. We booked specifically because of proximity to the Manitou Incline. Literally 2 min walk to the base of the incline and Pikes Peak cog railway. Also a quick walk to restaurants & shops. We would definitely rent again!
The person said they were the gardener when I questioned her about parking in one of our reserved spaces. She then began calling me and my daughter ugly names. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. Also, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and towels in the dryer. Finally, there is a leak from the ceiling in the half bath on the second floor. I think itâs from the shower in the primary bath.
This house it the perfect location for those wanting to do the Manitou Incline. It's literally steps from the entrance. And, the Cog Train Railway is just across the street. You can walk to town if you're conditioned to hills, but we had no trouble finding parking and chose to drive due to the snow. Great kitchen and laundry facilities. We enjoyed both living areas and the 3.5 bathrooms suited our group perfectly. Did I mention 2 outdoor deck spaces? What a great house!
We stayed here for a work trip for about a week. The house is beautiful, in great condition. It's next to the trailhead for the Manitou incline- we didn't climb, but it's something we all want to come back for now that we've seen it. It was really easy to access downtown Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. Parking was easy. The main room was amazing, complete with a fireplace. The hosts were great- we had questions and they always responded immediately. We'll definitely be back!
Great location, near Cog Railway, the incline and Barr trail. Would be great in the warmer weather, when one could enjoy the outdoor attractions, along with relaxing on the front porch. Also liked that we could walk down to the center of Manitou Springs, which offers many shops and restaurants, along with the childrenâs arcade. The house was nicely equipped. Gas grill had to be lite with lighter, and could have used some potholders. Having the electric fireplace in the master bedroom was an extra bonus especially during our February stay. Great stay! House definitely has some charm. Thank you for helping our family make great memories!
7 adults traveling for a wedding. House was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location walking distance to restaurants and shops. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very pleased with the location, especially if you're taking the train to Pikes Peak, hiking Barr Trail or climbing Manitou Incline. It's a couple blocks from each. Clean, comfortable and great front porch and back patio. 10 min walk to downtown Manitou.
We are friends who travel together each year and appreciate having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. This house has plenty of room for everyone. The photos are accurate of all areas. We enjoyed wine on the patio and sitting on the front porch watching people go by since the house is one block from the Cog Railway and Manitou Incline although we also heard the very early morning hikers going by. It was a quick walk when we went on the railway. Having dedicated off-street parking is a real bonus in Manitou Springs so we could come and go easily. Although we didn't take it, we regularly saw the #33 bus going between town and the railway. There are stairs but if you don't mind that, this is a comfortable place and well appointed.
