We enjoyed our stay overall but there were a few things that detracted from our experience. The apartment was very comfortable with all of the amenities we could ask for. Easy access to Garden of the Gods, Pike’s Peak and other attractions. If not for the following issues, I would rate this property 5 stars. 1. The location in Old Colorado City is great with one exception. There is a bar across the street and each night we heard loud and obnoxious drunk people shouting on the street around closing time. The rest of the time we found the neighborhood to be lovely. If you’re a deep sleeper, you may not notice but we definitely heard it each night. If this is your kind of scene, perhaps you’ll find yourself on the street joining in the drunken choir instead of being annoyed by it. :) 2. The towels smelled very sour as soon as they got wet, so much so that we opted to drive to Target to buy our own towels. 3. We had several issues with the lock from our code not working upon arrival to getting locked out twice because the lock wouldn’t accept any code. However property management was very responsive and eventually replaced the lock which solved the issue. They also gave us a Starbucks gift card for our trouble. Although this was an inconvenience, it was not their fault and they provided excellent customer service. Overall it was a positive experience. Really the only thing within their control that they missed the mark on is the towels.
