The house itself is nice. A good size for a couple or small family. The backyard was really nice, especially for those traveling with dogs, as we were. House is in an area that's 5-7 degrees cooler than just outside the neighborhood, which is helpful since there's no AC. We just happened to be there when it was pretty warm - 90+ every day.
There were deer sometimes just in front of the property. Short uphill walk to the Broadmoor area, which was nice to walk along with the dogs. We even saw a mama bear with two cubs! (fortunately, we were in the car)
Some of the challenges...
- very, very limited in cooking supplies (no bakeware, one frying pan, one pot, two forks - so we had to do dishes every day)
- no backyard patio furniture
- the house wasn't super clean when we got there - kids toys under the couch, used tissue on a chair, lipgloss in a bed
- the host did not tell us that people would be coming on to the property, so it was a little unnerving when someone just walked into the backyard (to check the hot tub) then a second time and person to do yard work. Fortunately we were inside w the dogs. They just opened the gate without checking with us.
Other little things, but the kicker was that a week after we left, host messaged asking if I had taken a blanket. I told her we'd put all the bed linens in the wash. She wrote back, said they found the blanket in a closet & that it was dirty. We washed all the other linens but she thinks left that? No. It was left from before
