Lacking customer service

Upon arrival, the lady who checked us in was very unpleasant. This is very unfortunate considering customer service and hospitality should be the top priority. With this being my first impression I tried not to let that effect my overall experience. However, it didn't take long before I realized this hotel doesn't offer great customer service. I was disappointed that the facility didn't offer a laundry room for guests. I would have gladly even paid for it but instead needed to go to a laundromat on my vacation. Then, after going to the dreaded laundromat I came back to the hotel expecting to take my children swimming. The pool when I came back was closed to maintenance all afternoon and evening. I paid more for this hotel just to have access to the pool and I genuinely enjoy all of my Holiday Inn stays. This stay was the absolute worst experience. There was never a concierge at the desk and when I did see one they were on their phone or getting food from the breakfast area without acknowledging the guests. The last day I stayed I was getting breakfast and that same lady that checked us in was working the breakfast area.. I'm not even kidding this lady stared at me and my family with utter disgust. I was uncomfortable and hated that I chose this hotel even more. Needless to say I will never stay at this location ever again.

Just a few small things.

We checked in and took our stuff to our room and left for dinner and hockey game not really inspecting room. Late night back showers, shower floor slippery no hand rail. Almost fell BEFORE shower was started. Hair was laying on track of shower. In the bedroom area nothing was dusted. Would have reported it however it was late when we came back after the Hockey game. Everyone was friendly. Bed was comfortable.
