Apartment was very nice. We had a wonderful stay. Only complaint is that the address on the site showed the address as 174 East Long St. and it is actually WEST Long St. This made a big difference in our ability to walk to the concert we were attending. We ended up having to uber both ways because it was too far to walk.
I didnât get the email or realize I was waiting on an email until almost 4pm and I called and it was sent to me. Before that, I had 2 different addresses. When I booked, Expedia showed an address closer to nationwide arena on long street. No such place existed. The address we ended up going to was not within walking distance to nationwide. Not like the one I thought I was booking was. Once checked in, we were in a hurry and had to put the shower curtain back together which is wobbly and could fall again at any moment. The ac only works in the bedroom.
The location of this hotel was convenient, but our stay had some frustrating aspects.
First, the address on Hotels.com is incorrectâit lists 174 W Long instead of the actual 174 E Long. While the correct address was buried in confirmation emails, we initially went to the wrong place.
On the positive side, there was plenty of parking, and figuring out how to get it comped was easy. However, finding the key was a bit tricky and could have been more clearly explained.
We expected some noise given the busy area, but it was extremely loud. We could hear into other rooms, the elevator opening and closing all night, and outside, where college students partied until 3 AM. To top it off, the area seems to be a hotspot for street racing, making it difficult to get any real rest.
The apartment itself was clean, but neither the bed nor the couch were comfortable. The bed was so soft that my husband and I just sank into the middle. A firmer mattress would make a huge difference.
Check-out time was standard, but 4 PM check-in feels unreasonably late compared to most hotels.
Overall, this could be a good stay for heavy sleepers or those looking to be in the heart of the action, but if you value peace and comfort, you may want to reconsider.
Great location for proximity to the conference center and downtown. Kind of noisy at night but this wasn't a surprise given its downtown location. The owner should provide a full set of utensils and cooking implements like a spatula, etc because I was not able to prepare any food in the apartment even though it has a stove, fridge etc. probably most annoying was the lack of communication re checking in, I finally found a phone number to call after I arrived to get that information but it was not in an obvious site and no one was around to clue me in. Despite promising to provide that information by noon on my day to check in, nothing was sent to me.
The place was clean and modern. Decor was cute. Bed was comfortable. Shower only got lukewarm, but it wasn't awful. Very short walk to the convention center. The only weird part was that you had to re-up your parking every 12 hours, but to get free parking, once I figured out the system, it was easy. I'd definitely stay here again.
Property was very nice and felt like an apartment. The kitchen was stocked with (limited) essentials. Parking was easy once you understood what was needed. Communication with the host company was difficult.
During the stay, the shower only got luke-warm and the bed was rather low and uncomfortable. Aside from that we liked the property.
Super cute space and VERY conveniently located it was perfect for me and a friend to visit Columbus for a couple days. The makeup towels were a super nice touch and it was very cutely decorated. Having a full oven and fridge was SO nice. The only time we ever had and issue was finding it đ it's at East Long St not West which was on the listing in Hotels.com
Good location, older building so wall and windows are thin. If you are expecting that then this place is great. Spacious with lots of windows. Only other downfall was the kitchen lacks a toaster and kettle
This was a really cool place and a good choice for our needs. It was a fun area with so many great restaurants we didn't even get to try them all! It felt very safe and secure and was easy to get in and out of once we got our keys. It was very clean, bright, and spacious. The downsides - getting our keys was a bit difficult. I never got the email with the lockbox code when I was supposed to, so we had to call them, then the lockbox was jammed and we couldn't get the key. We called back again and they switched us to a different unit and we were finally inside. That being said, the email with the wifi code was then incorrect because we were in a different unit, so we had to call again for that. That being said EVERYONE we spoke to on the phone answered promptly and was extremely helpful and polite. Seems to me we just had a rash of bad luck all at once, and it wouldn't have been so bad were it not so cold outside at the time. The only other issues we had were the shower never got hot, and when it got its warmest it lasted less than 10 minutes, not fun when you're walking all over the city in December and really need a warm up. There was also a hole punched into the bedroom door, now that might have been because we had been switched to another unit and so they had not repaired it yet. Either way it was just a bit strange, but not an inconvenience. All in all it was a nice stay and I would come again!
