The room was great, the stay was mostly great. The gentlemen that checked us in was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we experienced a minor vehicle problem and the manager or as the front desk girl called her “boss” she was horrible, unfriendly, rude and definitely trying to flex her boss complex. We just needed a little time and she was flat out rude charged me an extra 20 then told me to get out by 1:00 or my truck would be towed. Also, we had 1 smal tool set and I was told her parking lot is not a mechanics shop and her other guests would not like to see it. There had been maybe 3 cars in the parking lot all 3 days we were there. I just want to add that it takes more energy to be rude than it does to have a little compassion and kindness. I work in the same industry and she could have handle it so much better. After getting someone to fix my truck I hear this is not her first horrible reaction people have had with her and probably why nobody stays there. Do better or get out of the hospitality business. Hopefully the owners do something about her. She is dragging your beautiful and comfortable place down. I would of booked an extra night but ended up staying elsewhere.

The pool was closed for cleaning. We chose to book at this hotel because it had a pool otherwise we would’ve gone elsewhere. It was also very loud in the halls and upstairs.

Staff was great. Room smelled odd and maybe previously smoked in? Blankets were wrinkled. No microwave in the room. No spa. We rented a roll a way bed for the night. Springs were literally poking out of it. Not sure we'll stay there again.

This stay was my third stay at Edgewater Inn. I’ll start with the good. The staff has always been excellent. They are attentive, fast, and friendly. The rooms are remodeled and the view of the water is nostalgic Bay Area. The rooms are clean. So here is the bad… our room had small black ants. My son woke up with ants on his arms. They were coming in through the heater vent. By morning they were on the table between the two beds. Yuck! Normally we lounge around in the morning but this time we checked out by 8:30. I told the front staff about the ants and I was told that they would let the manager know. No apology- nothing! I’m not sure what I expected, but some kind of sorry would have been nice. It’s disappointing because Edgewater is nicer than most middle priced hotels in Coos County but a room share with ants is no bueno. I hope an exterminator is called and evicts the ants for good!

1- heater never warmed room & smelt of dead animal & pungent rancid oil smell every time it ran. Fan was incredibly loud & kicked on every 1-2 minutes. 2- bed had more lumps than bad oatmeal. Was great for ankle edema since foot of bed was permanently raised. Linen thin and sketchy. Slept in winter clothes including hoody since heater never warmed the room. 3- no soap to wash hands. Had makeup remover & bottle of lotion. 4- couch and side chair very comfortable - was best part of room. 5- walls so thin it felt like neighbors were in the room with us (wish we were having as good of time as they were) the people above were having a dance party by the sound of foot pounding we were blessed with (at least they made the fan less noticeable minus smell). 6- restroom was clean. Didn’t use shower. Got out as quickly as possible next morning. Exhausted. 7- black out curtains could be called that IF they reached the ground (covering glass sliding door) and if they touched walls. It was so bright it helped bring an end to our torturous night. 8- water view room - could see a tiny bit if I was standing tall. I’m 5’11 and wouldn’t have seen if I was shorter. 9- booked water view king size bed. Bed too big for a queen but by no means a king either. Bed just horrible. 10- our room was bug free. My family (upstairs room) covered in ants while sleeping. Room infested. Queen size = large full size 11- staff nice - not well groomed. 2nd stay there. Not going to be a 3rd.
