Great large rental perfect for multiple families

The size of the property was perfect for our family of 20–Christmas in July for us! Very spacious & great for the grandchildren to have their own areas. Pool was a welcome addition after being at the beach. We had a fantastic time except for the elevator situation. I would get rid of that because it’s a hazard.

Wonderful House!

We had a great time at this house! It is very spacious and clean! The pool is smaller than it appears in pictures but the kids all still managed to have a great time playing in it. The house has amazing views and outdoor spaces and lots of gathering and living spaces for everyone. We were located very conveniently to one of the pools as well as the bridge to the beach. Would highly recommend!

Big Blue was laid out perfectly for our large family’s needs, such as two bunk rooms and two ensuites. There was plenty of seating for everyone to be seated at dinner and the kitchen had all the items we needed to cook for a large family. We had a slight malfunction with the elevator right after we arrived, but after a phone call was made the maintenance man was there to fix it immediately even though it was Sunday afternoon. Our only complaint was that the pool was a plunge pool and not a real pool which is not really clarified in the description or photos. That being said we had a great time.

Nice house- some issues

It was a super nice house, but we did have several issues with things not working properly. The subdivision is really nice and you can drive the golf cart on the beach all the way into Port A. Vacasa was great and helped where they could.

Great views

Pretty views are what this property has going for it. The golf cart is in terrible condition. My opinion is-you will still need to rent your own golf cart. Golf cart is rusty, VERY VERY hard to turn-dangerously hard-and it didn’t work at all when we first got there. We could smell the breakfast from the family that stayed at the house before. And the house seemed “stinky”. The filters or something need to be cleaned. May I suggest a day in between renters also. Lots of room and nice views though. House has everything you need.

House is Great.

The house is beautiful and the owners left a warming gift bag that was nice. Unfortunately the elevator was decommissioned and not available for use the last two days and I had 5 people over the age of 73 that could not come down stairs until it was time to leave. Unpacking the house without an elevator was not easy and I did it with the help of my wife and I cutting my leg. On another note when I responded 4 of 5 rating in the beginning of the stay was because the trash had not been thrown from the two main trash cans and their was no room for ours. Other than that the house itself was great, and I would come back resolving those issues.

Perfect house for our group of 16.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented homes every 2 years for our large family group of 10 adults and 6 grandkids. Everyone agreed this was the best one yet. Having an elevator to take up bags and groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen / main living area was a huge plus. 2 of the couples and all the kids stayed in the 4 bedrooms on the second floor. The boys loved their bunk room, which became gaming central. The 3 girls were great in their twin bed room with pull out trundle bed. Both rooms were across the house from the parents 2 rooms, so no issues with noise from the kids rooms. The 2 other couples were on the 1st and 4th floors. Every level had outstanding views off a porch, and from 2-4 you looked out at a beautiful pond, sand dune and ocean, as well as the golf course. The main living area had a dining table that held us all, as well as bar seating for another 4 people if needed. The only thing we would add to the kitchen was a second dishwasher. With out group, we were running it daily, and sometimes twice. Having the 6 person golf cart was a bonus, and we rented another to move our crew around. The pool area was great, and we pre-rented 2 bungalows next to each other for 2 of the days, to be able to get out of the sun. We also had umbrellas and chairs set up for the adults every day at the beach, another huge plus. We had a short 3 hour period one day when the AC quit working on the 3rd floor, but Turnkey walked us through trying a few things to fix it, then getting an AC Company there to repair what ended up being a bad thermostat. It was repaired within 3 hours of our call. Port Aransas still has the feel of a small beach town, versus some to the more upscale spots in the Seaside / Watercolor area of Florida we had rented in a few years back. Plenty of good restaurants, and the Black Marlin and Reds at Palmillo Beach Club were very good. They also brought the food to the pool and even the beach if you wanted it. I bet we return here soon.

Family Reunion

We had a blast at the Big Blue! We were so very comfortable with 18 people staying - ages 8 months to 74 years old. The views were amazing and loved the pond right outside the house! The ocean views were fantastic also! And the beds sooo comfortable! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people very easily - the kitchen is well stocked! And we loved the golf cart! And playing golf and hanging out at Reds in the evenings around the fire pit! A very memorable family reunion! Thank you!

Fabulous for a Senior Staff Retreat!

We spent two days at Big Blue for a staff planning retreat. It was perfect for our needs! With only 8 of us, we had more than enough room and plenty of space to spread out and do our work. During breaks some from our team took to the beach, others recharged in the fabulous library, and a couple even enjoyed an afternoon nap! For our team, it was a great getaway that supported both our planning and our team building! We hope to do this again for our next team planning activity. Thanks to our marvelous hosts for letting us stay at this absolutely stunning property!

Big Blue Paradise

This home is as luxurious as it looks in the pictures. The kitchen truly is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, and the house’s layout is perfect for large families. We felt comfortable from the beginning. The pool was great for the kids after a day at the beach, and the great room and kitchen area provided plenty of space for all of us (20) to gather for meals, games, and conversation. Fantastic!

GREAT PLACE.

Great home to rent with kids and adults. Great views of the ocean from all floors of the house. Pool on site, but a resort pool 100 yards away. Walking distance to the beach or 5minute golf cart ride. Very quiet on the weekdays and then picks up on Friday.

This was the best beach house we ever rented. It is beautiful and very well maintained. The kitchen had every item one could need. The owners provided kitchen and bathroom supplies to start the week so it was not necessary to go to the store on arrival. The house has a lovely view of a pond with birds, golf course, and the gulf from the main floor (3 floor). The community pool was heated and 1/2 block away. The beach access was close and a golf cart provided. It was a fabulous week!!!

Amazing House!!

This house is perfect for large family vacation of a company retreat. You get exactly what is advertised and more. Use of golf cart made going to the beach pleasurable, the amenities within the community were amazing. Pool cabana rentals, beach chair and umbrella rentals. We loved it so much, can’t wait to go back!!!
