This place was spectacular for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers. Great walking areas and got to see owls, rabbits, deer and all manner of birds. Off grid has never been so fun. The outdoor shower was fabulous! Thanks for the puzzle books, they were much appreciated and a surprisingly fun memory. Had a spectacular Thunderstorm while we were here but we were safe and cosy in this little cabin. Ended up requiring the use of the futon as a bed since the master queen bed has a bit of a slant on the left side and we couldnât both get comfortable on it. But we are both big people and are used to a King bed so we are a bit spoiled in that regard. Bed was super comfy with just me in it.
A Bird's ParadiseAn incredible cabin on a peaceful and quiet piece of land. The workmanship that has gone into this place to make it environmentally friendly and comfortable is amazing. From the solar power to the hand made frames and railings, this place has something for everyone. For my husband (wildlife photographer) and I, we loved the variety of birds ( we counted 20 species in one evening!) Just make sure to bring proper clothing and spray to help avoid the tics!
My fiance and I stayed with our 3 year old puppy for 3 nights (June 2025) and had the best experience / most relaxing weekend surrounded by nature. We went for multiple daily walks to see the owls in the forest, cows / deer in the field and all the various birds in the coulee. The cabin is very private and our pup loved all the space to run. The cabin had everything you need though we didn't spend hardly any time inside as it is so beautiful outside. The wraparound deck is perfect to relax and hide out from the wind although the area around the cabin is quite sheltered from the wind with all the mature trees. We enjoyed nightly fires under the stars and just spending time with each other disconnected from the world - though service is fine if you do need to be connected for anything; we streamed the Oilers Stanley Cup final game from hotspot with no issues. Could not recommend this cabin enough and our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome / at home!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Itâs like clamping but also roughing it. Lots of open space to spread out if you want. Nestled in a treed cove away from owners watching you. Extremely awesome view of the stars even though itâs just a few minutes out of the city. Comfortable bed and bedding. Cabin is Bigger than it looks on the outside. Downside is no running water. And the seasonal shower is outside which has hot water but too hot to be directly under it. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ken and Serena.
Excellent communication from host. We loved the Quiet location that felt remote yet we werenât far from town. Being âunplugged â was a nice relaxing experience. Walking the trails up around the train tracks with our dog was a great amenity. Highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Peaceful and quiet, no issues at all having brought our dog. Host was super nice and very accomidating. LEould definitely stay again.
This cabin is all you need for a peaceful getaway. Itâs tucked in a very private section of the property and equipped with everything you need for a great escape from any city hustle and bustle. Ken and Serena are wonderful hosts and they go out of their way to provide you with their bikes, canoe and the use of the land to explore at your hearts content. I truly recommend it if youâre looking for that special quiet escapade.
