Elevator broken to get to room #1233. Manager moved us the following day to aother room on first floor (room #1012) because I have COPD and couldn't climb stairs. No hot water in our room the entire week. We went 2 days without maid service or washcloths in the room. Only 3 restaurants were open and 1 snack bar all week. Menu at 2 restaurants (Windows & Oceana) stayed the same the whole week. Food was luke warm and sometimes cold. Very disappointed with this resort.

My husband suffered mild food poisoning… due I believe to food handling or dirty water they use to mix drinks or cocktails. Suggestion: they should use mineral or bottled water (not tap water) to make ice cubes. So, with my husband feeling sick (LBM), we asked for medical help. Someone came by to check up on him, told us they have paramedics at the resort but we have to pay… Why??? My husband got sick due to their irresponsibility and negligence. We had to purchase his meds.

The hotel feels neglected overall for the cost. Staff overall in the hotel was great, front desk check in staff were lack luster when problems arose. Checked in on Wednesday and there was no hot water, the “junior ocean view swim out room” was in fact a swim out room but the view was more bushes and the restaurant and pool, not truly an “ocean view” the swim out pool itself does not connect with any type of bar and the swim up bar is at an entirely different pool all together. On Wednesday we asked about hot water and was told “it would be fixed tomorrow” also noticed black mold around the vents in the room, went to the desk, Thursday and Friday as well requesting to speak with someone and was ignored. Saturday went again and the front desk staff said there was nothing they could do because the resort was at “full capacity” spoke to several other travelers who had the same experience as us and were offered upgrades, room changes etc. and even room changes to another hotel. We were not offered anything until our checkout where I became extremely upset. This was our honeymoon trip and we requested something from our check in staff and nothing was sent after being promised it would be. The swim out pool was never clean and was absolutely disgusting…if it was cleaned it wasn’t done well. 2 out of the 5 restaurants were closed, we were offered to go to the hotel next door at dreams but we tried two nights and then were closed or were having a private event.

Our room was in good condition, hit water took a out 20 minutes in order to shower, one day there was zero water at all until we called maintenance. Guests next to us had non functioning air conditioning and refrigerators The staff was quite friendly. Activities were well staffed . The beach was wonderful, the bars tender to close early.. some restaurants never opened in the week we were there. The buffet was very plain.

Check in was very long and chaotic.. We had no hot water in our room. Our plumbing was backed up, air conditioning was not working. Room was doing and also had bugs.. we had to ask several times to get a different room then they finally moved us into there sister resort called Dreams. Our room was not the best. Not what we paid for at all. The ladies at front desk told my husband that the resort did not have hot water and basically had no help. Very disappointed and will not ever go back. It was our anniversary and horrible experience

Been going there for 20 years and this was a terrible experience for myself and family. High pressure sales as soon as you enter. Don’t even give you a chance to relax. Never again. Most restaurants only open twice a week. Used to look so forward to going there but Hyatt changed everything. Don’t go there

We had an issue with hot water for the first 3 days, that we had to complain about a few times, before we were moved to another room. It was a known issue that we finally learned about after talking to other guests. Preferred club amenities were lacking. Premium alcohols advertised were largely not available when we asked. Some staff really shined and provided service above and beyond. We really wanted to like the property better, but it seems like upgrades are occurring at this time to Dreams instead of Secrets.

Staff very friendly. We did not get the room we reserved though. We did not have hot water. The toilet clogged. We had to ask for toilet paper twice. And many restaurants were closed or had 1-2 hour waits each night.
